Faking injuries should be reviewable

the penalty should be an automatic first down on defense.
loss of down and 15 yards on offense
no commercials during review, must show constant replays of injury

If they are "hurt" make them sit out 5 min of game time.
That will stop that crap.
If they are truly hurt the they really need to sit out anyway.

I think the solution is simple. 5-10 yard penalty if a player goes down well after the whistle. I think there are times where it's legitimate, like cramps or something, but the times a fake injury would be flagged would far outweigh a legitimate one.

There’s no way to have indisputable evidence that someone is truly not hurt. It’s literally impossible.

This. Treat it like concussion protocol in NFL. Series of tests which equates to missed PT

And how exactly are the refs to determine fake v real?
Ive personally witnessed a wide range of injuries occur on seemingly innocuous plays.
And i would rather limit the refs ability to make arbitrarily subjective penalties in a live game.
The current mechanism allows for review of instances after the game. I do support increased penalties for those reviews where a pattern of abusing ‘injuries’ is established. But outside of the game.

what if theyre standing, walking, look at the sideline for 10 seconds and collapse holding their toe?

That's a tough because it's hard to know when a guy is hurt and when he's strategically flopping. But when a guy looks to the sideline and then sort of just sits down, that's a good place to start.

You can't regulate what you think may or may not be a real injury and punish the team. They only thing you can do is up the amount of plays that the player has to sit out. Imagine the backlash if they made a game changing call and it came out after the game that the player was legitimately injured.

Especially when the coaches are telling them to get down.
Hell, they didn't flag Jim Bob when he was on the field the other day while play was on going.

That killed our second to last drive which would have sealed the game. Kiffin is a POS cheater

cramps should have to be carried off field to be worked on.
Posted on 10/5/23 at 9:44 am to Grad92
I think it should be, but only AFTER the game.
So many questions like what if the player is actually hurt, etc. Over the next week you can review and determine if it was a legit injury or a fake, if a fake, the penalty is more severe than Targeting, like full game suspension for 1st offense and Two games for second offense.
That would put a stop to it.

Anyone injured enough to lay on the ground and stop the game must sit out the entire series until the ball changes possession. Not just one play, the entire series. If they are hurt that bad they should be made to recover at least that long.
Flopping is cheating and must be penalized more than the present rule.

Just make it to where if trainers have to come onto the field to attend to a player that player has to sit out the rest of the possession.

How many time have you guys rolled an ankle thinking it was completely broke and got up just fine. I imagine simular circumstances happen a lot on the field
Posted on 10/5/23 at 9:54 am to Grad92
Yes. We need more review time outs. Should be reviewed after the game and, like targeting, result in a suspension for the next game.
Posted on 10/5/23 at 9:58 am to Grad92
They just need to sit out the series, simple as that.
Posted on 10/5/23 at 9:59 am to Grad92
They should have to sit out the remaining series.

If you are standing up, looking to the sideline and suddenly get a "cramp" should be eligible for review. As a previous poster stated, 5 minutes of game clock on the bench will suffice
