You have to tear down a condemned house to the foundation before you can rebuild. If Lane wanted any of the current LSU players to stay they would not be in the portal.

Because we didn’t pay $5.2 million for one season of a QB? I love Sorsby but I also wouldn’t pay him that. $3.5-$3.7 mil would have been my max.

LSU will continue to struggle in this era of college football. The playing field is leveled and the benefits that once served LSU, no longer are that important.

Things didn't start out red-hot ahead of the 2022 season. LSU started to get transfer signees as the days/weeks went on and ultimately had a good team. It was a team that also lost 17 players to the portal.
So far LSU has one transfer: A 3 star receiver from Hawaii. Wonderful.

We paid Kiffin a lot of money so we wouldn't be a dumpster fire. How is it that Matt Campbell has eleven transfer commits already at Penn St. even though he was hired by them four days after Kiffin was hired at LSU? In the meantime Kiffin has one commit....a 3-star receiver from Hawaii.

There are over 4,000 players trying to leave their current school, or holding their feet to the fire for more money. Loyalty is dead in CFB.
