Let's be honest I bet some type of meeting about that did happen

I’m sure it did. I don’t understand what the problem is? ... Of course members of the board have a voice and influence on things that happen at LSU. That’s kind of their job. The President reports to the board.

Doesn't seem like force to me. My ? is if they didn't think he was going to make the right decision(s) here, why not just get rid of F King too?

Did they tell him to find another job or did he leave on his own?

This whole thing reeks of the good old boy network riding high. I had hopes that Woodard was going take charge but I’m beginning to think he will continue things as usual.
There is still talk of Jay Dardenne becoming president.
If LSU is going to be a stand up progressive ( not in the political or social sense) university, then there better be a change in how things are being run.

I'd love to see him produce any hard evidence that he was coerced in anyway. Also, let's believe a guy who just had to resign in disgrace due to covering up fricking rape scandals

LSU went progressive with F. King. This is what happens when you get woke.

Don't you hate it when your boss "coerces" you by telling you how they expect you to do your job?
There is nothing wrong with with members of BOS meeting with and expressing their opinions to FKA. It's part of their responsibility.

No public board or body is legally allowed to meet together in private. If a quorum of such board is present, a majority, the meeting time and date must be posted earlier and be open to public attendance. That's Louisiana law.

Nobody, not F. King or anyone else claims there was a quorum present.
You're entitled to your opinions but not your own facts.

he had to be forced to fire the AD who was sweeping Miles’ sexual deviance under the rug supposed make him look even remotely competent?

Alleva sends FKA an email stating Miles should be fired for his ongoing sexual harassment and FKA takes zero action because he doesn't want to become involved is Alleva sweeping shite under the rug??? I'm not an Alleva fan but FKA is/was a eunuch his entire tenure at LSU.

I really don’t get why the board being involved in the process of hiring/firing of an athletic director would be an accreditation issue. I guess it implies a wider spread issue but f kings whole argument has been is that the board only cared about athletics not academics
Technically the President has to have ultimate authority and responsibility for the program. However, F King is the guy who ran to the board or Jindal for every decision he made. He probably took orders on everything like a weak little spineless coward.

This all looks bad especially for the BOS. Just as Lombardi before, athletics gets in the way of academics.
Everyone seems to hate on Alleva, but he tried to fire Les back in 2013 for cause-harassing college age girls. The pathetic attempt by higher ups to condone bad sexual behavior is terrible for LSU. Then, the BOS brings in good ole boy Woody, so parochial. Just think, if isn’t wasn’t for an “outsider” in Emmert, we never would have had the Natty’s in the last 20 years.
Fire the complicit athletic staffers. Why is no one from LSU getting fired?
I don’t want my daughters going to a university that ignores sexual predators.

Well done Fieldon. Just what prospective employers are looking for, employees who know how to keep their mouths shut.

Got to be the lamest article ever. Boards do not interfere. They make recommendations, then demands at their discretion. All over the world.

This supposed Juban's meal definitely sounds like old school Louisiana cronyism. JBE's hand picked guy James Williams -- all I can say is wow. I could say a lot about this, but just wow.

Elections have consequences. This goes straight to the governor. Don't get me wrong, Jindal wasn't any better.
