I’m pretty sure most of us who were thinking we’d go 11-1/10-2 at the start of the year were thinking our offense would look like that all year.

Did we open the secret playbook or did Max’s balls drop?

Even with all the injuries and defections, that was a 10-2 team we saw Saturday night. That team should have beaten UCLA, Auburn, Alabama, and Arkansas. Only thoroughly beaten by Kentucky and Ole Miss. Kind of crazy, when you think about it.

Revisionist thinking Myles lost the Alabama game because he cannot anticipate a blitz.

TAM changed its defensive front and went prevent. Max can hold onto the ball all night long against those three man fronts.

Coach O knew the last play was going to be an absolute dime for 6. Me? expected the game to either end on max holding the ball 60 seconds too long and being sacked, or a max pick.

They were in prevent a couple of plays, but not totally. I saw a lot of man-to-man for A&M on that last drive, including the winning TD.

They played prevent and rushed 3. Max got us down the field by hitting guys in windows. Got close enough to not rely on a hail mary. Jenkins beat his guy over the top and Max threw a dime before the safety could get there. Thats the elementary explanation that I guess we’re looking for?

I don’t know what happened, but it was the most fun I’ve had watching LSU since the CFP.

O would still have a job if he had loosened up and just let the coaches coach and the players play from the beginning of the year. As soon as he got fired and started giving 0 shits, we got better.

The only excuse for this LSU team not being very good is Orgeron.

Orgeron used injuries and assistant coaches as excuses for losing all season long. But, the truth is Oregeron has no clue about how to put together game plans.

I think it helped that Mike Elko all of a sudden became really dumb.

Their DE #2 had been destroying Dellinger on the left side of the line all game. The last possession though Elko inexplicably moved him to the other side and I don’t think he managed another sack.

Myles is injured after two games with this Oline. Max got killed most of the games he started. Myles is injury prone he would have never made it to the final game of the year. My hats off to Max johnson for taking the hits and delivering on that last drive.

LSU made some plays against a different defense from what Aggy ran most of the game.

Really it was just two good plays and one blown coverage that accounted for the drive.

On 4th down Dellinger blocked #2 just enough to allow Johnson to slide and find Bech for a 1st down.

Then A&M blew a coverage to allow Jenkins to get wide open down the sideline.

Play three was just a tremendous throw by Johnson. He knew A&M was blitzing. He knew he was going to get hit. He threw a perfect pass to Jenkins for the TD.

Nothing all that "special". They just executed right when they had to.
