Stop losing season openers and looking like total unprepared shite the entire game.

Hoping for non-Big Ten style football

Did you actually watch any LSU games last season?

I don’t believe ur statement has quite the “negative” connotation that you believe it does. Especially seeing as Michigan was clearly the best team in CFB last year.

Big ten style football only works if you have elite defenses like we had in the Les era.

Part of the elite defenses in the big ten is due to the lack of elite skill players they have up there. They don’t have speed like the SEC

Given all the losses including JD, and that horrific defense, I'd say making the playoffs will be a minor miracle, but I'm always optimistic this time of year. So 9-3

My expectations for what Brian Kelly should achieve in year three are different from my expectations for the 2024 LSU team.

Brian Kelly is paid and his staff is paid to make the 12-team playoff in 2 out of every three seasons, beginning last year. So he should make the playoff in 2024. Especially considering that Kelly squandered the second best offense in program history in 2023.

Absent surprising portal additions before Labor Day, I do not think that the 2024 LSU team is top 12 caliber. My expectation for this roster is four losses. That is Kelly's fault and is not acceptable. But we should separate our expecations for Kelly vs. expectations for this 2024 LSU team as currently constituted.

Per TigerLifer18, this pretty much sums it up for me.

“10-2 with a playoff appearance, should be the expectation for the team and Kelly in year 3. I’m a big BK believer as well.
Also would be awesome to not start the season
0-1.“

10-2 (we split USCw, Ole Miss, Alabama and Oklahoma)
We’re in the hunt for a playoff spot.
Sets us up for an awesome 2025, 2026.

9/10 wins. I would be more than happy with that. Lost a lot of All-Universe offensive talent from last year and our defense is probably not where it will be next year or the year after talent & development wise. I think we go college playoff in year 4 and win it all in year 4 or 5.
