What would you consider a successful season?

There is a lot of of things to consider such as the overhaul of the defensive staff, losing a Heisman QB, playing your hard league games at home, likely being a favorite in all 12 games.

I would think for me to consider it a success it would take a playoff appearance simply. Could be with 10 or 11 wins that doesn’t matter. Just get into that top 12 and give us a chance.

Interested to see where y’all are at…. This seems like the ultimate set up year.

This. If he loses another season opener it’s going to be really bad

6 wins. Just not a great team next year.

In a 12-team playoff, the absolute bare minimum expectation is to make the field of 12. No excuses

Depends on how the season goes.

What if he loses to USC and makes the playoffs?

Even if they do make the playoffs it would be awful to lose three straight season opening games.

10-2 with a playoff appearance, should be the expectation for the team and Kelly in year 3. I’m a big BK believer as well.

Also would be awesome to not start the season
0-1.

In this new age of 12 (maybe 14 or more coming) teams making the playoffs

The expectation is to make the playoffs and compete for championships every year

Plain and simple

I’d be happy with 8-4 and an improved defense. Losing Jayden and our playmakers won’t be easy to replace, similar to baseball. Anything more is lagniappe

Game one should show that Kelly is able to prepare a team for opening day. Each season has looked different but game one has looked exactly the same each year.

Breaking in a new QB with two new OCs could be really costly. If those 3 people can’t produce it’s going to be chaos.

Going to have a good running game plan. But expect nuss to have a good year. If we can have a decent defense, should make playoffs. After last year, iam not believing anything the coaches say. But iam more optimistic with the new coaches we have.

Win the first fricking game.

successful season?

Make the playoffs, (then who knows) but, He has an above average QB with some experience, and the best OL in the country. Lineup and smash the ball early in the season & let the QB get comfortable.

Defense has to be better, with 2 - 3 stops a game they will surpass last years train wreck.

I'm saying 10-2 & a playoff spot

9-3. The DL issues and the secondary are going to cost us a couple of games.

Making the playoff and advancing out of the first round. Top 6 finish in the final rankings would be great.

National championship or pink slip lmao.

That's where we are at now right? 50 years without a title and we are supposed to be what on 21 straight now since 03

The absolutely awful defensive coaching and recruiting staff, the gaping holes left at DT/DB for the next staff to deal with throws a monkey wrench in this but overall we definitely HAVE to make the playoff and beat SC

Yeah I would like a better showing in game 1. Also win all our home games, which includes Bama, Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Vandy. Then win at least half of the road slate: South Carolina, Arkansas, A&M, and Florida. So 10-2 is my expectation. 9-3 would be good too as long as we sneak into the field of 12.
