I don’t believe that. I just listened to an old interview between matt moscona and the receiver we got from ull named Kyren lacy.

Lacy will probably be a top 3 wr for us but that’s debatable. A guy like him that came from ull and hasn’t even made a catch at lsu , literally has so many nil deals that he couldn’t even remember all of them and they were all from lsu ,I believe. I don’t think any of the deals he spoke about or couldn’t remember, came from ull.

I believe he named 4 and forgot at least 2 ,it sounded like. So if you just go by that interview, it seems like he’s got at least 5 for sure.
So you know we have deals on the table for recruits if they decide to come here.

That’s legal, you can promise deals but you can’t sign them until you are at the school, I believe. If there is a rule that you can’t even discuss nil until they are enrolled, then it’s being broken anyway.

My point is, chill out on nil and lsu, we’re fine. We have a guy nobody but hardcore lsu fans even knows on the team with like 5 or 6 different deals. Lol do y’all really believe that lsu will ever let a situation arise where we’re in the “have-nots” group.

Lsu will not be in the “have-nots” under woodward , Brian kelly, and I’ll even throw in president Tate, because the guy has been really good for lsu , even though everyone hated the hire.

I've told everyone who will listen. LSU is one of the biggest brands in college football and college sports in general. No way we get left behind, it's the small conference teams and even the more niche power 5 teams with little financial investment that will get left behind

If you don’t think LSU is behind then you are blind

All you have to do is look at A&M. They have a payment structure that allows players like JaCoby Matthews to get $150,000 in his first year on campus

LSU doesn’t have that kind of structure. Thank God for Gordon McKernon for stepping bc Boutte was heading for Bama.

Can you show us evidence to support this claim?

Well from what an alum is telling me, part of their NIL program is an apparel company helps design the players "Signature Logo"... helps them create a brand. Then they get proceeds from the apparel sales with their "brand" on it. So, what prevents companies and the wealthy from pre-purchasing this apparel? ... the stuff can be given away, donated, or whatever. The athlete can then take that brand with them to the NFL or do with it as they please. The bigger the star the bigger the demand for their "stuff".... bigger the demand the more money they get. All that can be with annual contracts to purchase the products so if a player leaves... no more money from Aggies.

So not only are they offering the kids big money they are feeding the ego of creating this unique brand just for them... pretty dang smart if you ask me.

and the beauty for A&M is that the shirts never even have to be printed or shipped. all they need is a shell company to produce an invoice.

it’s called Money Laundering. but I don’t even think they need to get THAT sophisticated.

unless the entities who installed NIL have concurrently established a system and agency for enforcing the rules (which are nil right now, pun intended), pretty much anyone can pay anybody anything they want at any time.

Who ya gonna call? NIL-Busters?

There were other factors with Mathews, I told you ppl this before. He wanted to play at LSU, but it wasn't all up to him.

My post was more along the lines of people saying that our players aren’t getting nil deals in numbers , people think the lawyer Is the only person providing nil.

These deals were probably struck when they were recruiting him to come here from the portal, so they are probably similar to what we offered guys like Harold Perkins but just more money or better deals.

Perkins was about that money too , so him coming here shows we’re making strides in nil.
Everyone’s behind Aggie just face that and compare to other sec schools and were good

what kind of front do you need for a situation that has no rules or regulations. They could give him 10,000 a month to just go to local sandwich shop order the special then post a pic of him eating it on social media.

They will have to clean that up. The rules have to be the same for everyone and they aren’t.

I’m not sure if the Louisiana laws are good for us or if we would do better with a universal set of rules/laws

Too many are blaming A&M, like they've done something wrong.

A&M's boosters saw the situation, studied the rules, and ran with it. They did nothing illegal.

Any university could do the same thing (maybe not in the amounts that A&M's rich boosters can afford). It takes organizing and work.

LSU is a national brand with plenty of wealthy alumni. With the right booster pushing and organizing, this could be a huge boost for LSU's recruiting.
