Even if you aren't thrilled with the picks, there's now stability in LSU administration

I like the system president and chancellor are separate. Only guy that could pull that off was William Jenkins.
These guys are apparently the opposite of woke, so you better believe there are some nervous multi-hair colored pronouners in Baton Rouge.
For at least the next 2 years, you won't have a governor holding a knife against LSU's neck.

Just hire a good head coach for the Fighting Tigers.

At the end of the day, that position realizes you better not mess up a football hire
plus you are only comfortable until a new governor takes over one day

I’m sure the fat, ugly trannies protesting are crushed. W for LSU

I’ve voted Republican since Nixon and I can give two fricks about this guy from Louisiana or not. What I give a frick about is someone that I can raise money for the university for engineering and research. Would I give a frick about is LSU medical system and law system being raised to a higher level. At the end of the day I don’t trust somebody like him who’s been in a private sector. It takes fricking skill to do that job. You can’t go from being a junior college to a fricking major system. It just doesn’t work that way.

Good Lord. You gave five "fricks" in that response. Settle down.

Let me tack on one more frick. Oklahoma did the same shite with taking the CEO from a company and it fricking screwed their university up for several years afterwards just go Google presidents of Oklahoma University.
And for what it’s worth they’re ahead of us in academics.
And for what it’s worth they’re ahead of us in academics.

Well, its not the same person, so your logic is specious.

You clearly don’t know what they did.
LSU had a guy whose research revolved around CRT running LSU main campus LSUHSC NO LSU HSC S and Pennington.
We now have a guy who has been the inventor on over 400 patent applications running those institutions.
Massive upgrade.

The point is about the type of person. Don’t twist the fricking words. Secondly this guy was running a fricking junior college and now you’re gonna give him the LSU system? Man frick that.

And Tate actually raised money and improve research. They actually started paying some professors more.

corrected!

Lol at people who say, "I'm [insert party], but..." You don't get it. It's not about party. It's about America [LSU in this case] first or not, be it party, uniparty, China, or otherwise.
LSU lives as its football lives. Get that right and abandon the woke, and we'll be alright.

Tate raised the average admissions ACT from a 25 to over a 27 in just a few years time. It had stagnated from 2010-2022 at around a 25 composite score. My only complaint with Tate was he was the first hire in over 50+ years to have no presidential experience. The reality is being a minority likely allowed him to bypass this. He did some good things while at LSU though.

Tate raised ACT from 25 to 27, but you failed to mention he allowed huge numbers of minorities in that weren’t required to submit an ACT score. I’m sure the new guys will get this cleaned up in short order
Posted on 11/4/25 at 5:16 pm to Sofaking2
quote:Come on. Fewer applicants submitted ACT scores. Of course if you get a high score you'll submit it. If you get a 22 or lower you arent submitting it. What propaganda have you bought?

You outed yourself there.
Another academic douche.

If he is an academic at LSU it's no wonder its reputation has lingered in the 160s lately.
