If our bats can add some numbers to the scoreboard in short order, perhaps we can relieve Evans early and not burn him for the rest of the tourney

I just remember the '22 Regionals and Jay said he would never leave himself bare in the winners bracket again and he would change how he utilized pitchers going forward to not have a repeat situation. I will be curious if he actually intends to extend Evans or if its just a shut down right out the gate type thing and plans to utilize pitchers for 1-2 innings to not burn any arms entirely.

even likely could pitch some sunday if he needs to.
but it would be nice if we were like 20 and he didn’t need to pitch 6 innings

Will be curious to see what Jay's strategy is. Is he going to let Evans go? Or just trying to shut down this inning out the gate and not waste him for the rest of the bracket.

I love it, go for the throat and get to 2-0 then run out the potential pen guys vs arky/ucla game 1 then Anderson game 2 if needed. Then AE Saturday
