Luckily Woodward swings for the fences. Woodward is going to go after someone big. Napier won't even be looked at.

Lol youre going to be disappointed. Napier will likely be SW first choice. He has the reputation of being "Sabanlike" in coaching/admin circles.

The problem is not hiring Napier, or even having Napier as her first choice. I just want the search to be competent, organized well thought out, and for the search committee to really do their due diligence. Things that should not be happening is legit leaks, obviously their will be hearsay rumors, getting used by agents just to get a better job or a pay raise, and mostly I dont want us to just decide someone is the right person and offer them a huge contract without really performing an interview to make sure that their values aligns with the University and Administrations.

In the last 20 years LSU is the 2nd most successful College Football Program after only Alabama. Some of you are either not LSU fans or are just stupid. Lol.

Les Miles always lost tons of juniors who had no business leaving and he never had a .500 season here. That was also two seasons ago, that should not be an excuse this year. Look at what Alabama lost from last year and they look just as good if not better to start this season.

I've watched about 10 ULL games over the last 3 years. The man is obviously a good coach but he does some really wreckless shite as well at least once in every game I've watched.

So does the guy who people say he is a clone of.

You are example of the catastrophe syndrome. Les Miles NEVER LOST 39 players in 1 year. Never. LSU’s roster was like what happens on Probation and it definitely takes more than 1 Covid season to overcome it. If happened two years in a row LSU couldn’t field a damn team. Can some of you idiots count to 85? Then subtract 39? You can only sign 25 players each year so yeah it takes more than 1 year to overcome it.

A bigger audience is the basis of a broadcast business model. They talk about the things you/we talk about on Tigerdroppings. Maybe they even checked in here to get fodder for the ULL broadcast. You talk about what they said, and the sticky nature of the topic just keeps on moving. It kind of works like that.

Woodward has already made agent inquiries, I bet. He knows who he wants. Wouldn't surprise me.

It's why Urban Meyer said "no chance" to USC. He knows where he's going in December. One can dream anyway.

As a true Cajuns fan, I'm loving this thread. I look at it as a compliment to what Napier has accomplished for the program.

There is no doubt that he would win at LSU. The question I have is whether or not Woodward would be willing to pay the $20 million buyout after this season if O ends up getting lucky and winning 8 games. I know I know, "we are LSU," but the reality is that this is some crazy economic times and we all know how Louisiana politics gets involved with this kind of stuff. Don't be surprised if JBE tries to protect his buddy O like Jindal did for Miles.

Napier is boom or bust and Woodward will be tied to the hip to him,

If he brings Peterson to washington and Jimbo to A&M and then we end up with fricking Napier there’s going to be some serious questions,

Inb4 a bunch of pussys say “some sec schools want him”

We’re not South Carolina or Mississippi State.

Why isn’t USC interested?

Bc he has publicly stated there are only a few jobs he is waiting for and USC is not one of them. Privately he has told people LSU and Bama are the only ones he would take.

ULL Lost by three touchdowns to Texas who turned around in their next game and actually got smoked by Arkansas. ULL was fortunate to beat Nicholls State.

He might have a better record than our current coach had before he came to LSU, but I surely hope our next coach, if there is to be one, well at least have a résumé that was successful in the power conferences.
