ULL Lost by three touchdowns to Texas who turned around in their next game and actually got smoked by Arkansas. ULL was fortunate to beat Nicholls State.

He might have a better record than our current coach had before he came to LSU, but I surely hope our next coach, if there is to be one, well at least have a résumé that was successful in the power conferences.

If you disqualify every coach by their worst performance, we'd never have hired Saban. I know it's hard, but try to see the big picture, total record, and body of work before eliminating. I can blow holes in any candidate you come up with if you take that approach.

Napier would probably be the 6th choice for LSU if an opening really happened. Summing up…Napier will never be head football coach at LSU.

I tend to agree he won't be hired this cycle (he'll be higher than 6th) but not for those reasons. Napier is a Sexton client, thus the ask will be top 5 coaching money. If LSU goes Top 5 money, we're going P5 with more skins on the wall than Napier currently has.

Napier would bring his own scheme to at least one side of the ball. That’s a big deal for consistency’s sake AND recruiting pieces to fit that scheme vs. paper star-chasing.

I personally would consider Napier a home run — just might need a year or two to pick momentum back up from this mess & prove to potential recruits that he’s the real deal.

All I’ve wanted for a decade and a half is a HC who can speak a full sentence. Before somebody hits me with blah blah 2019, let’s accept that both Joe Brady & Dave Aranda will make formidable HC’s, if that’s what they are set on doing.

It’s not complicated. Football is a game. Coaches don’t play. Game theory > pedigree > rah rah.

O had his time in the sun & it was an epic season, but it could not be more obvious at this point this is not a viable long-term model/solution.
