Bill Connelly put the 2019 LSU juggernaut behind a 2020 Bama squad with an easier schedule that feasted on teams dealing with COVID-19 restrictions. Talk about being short-sighted!

These opinions don't matter. They played for empty stadiums and beat up a seven-win OSU team in the natty... they can argue all they want. It was a weird season and can't be compared to a normal year of college football.

The notion that 2020 Bama was superior is a preposterous joke. They played in front of empty stadiums against teams missing multiple starters and stars due to COVID. That team NEVER had to play in front of a capacity, hostile SEC crowd. They never had a true road game. Ever. Not once. They never faced an opponent with its full compliment of players. They played in a bizarre, aberrant, surreal, Orwellian year when most players and fans were distracted and indifferent. Total indefensible joke.

It's very arguable that the 2019 Bama team was actually better than the 2020 Bama team.
2019 LSU would beat 2020 Bama by two TDs or more.
