Yeah well, the ownership is who pays. They can take their ball and go home as they please to.

I kind of feel bad for him in that he is in that liberal echo chamber in Frisco. I don't think he grasped just how stupid and ill advised it is to kneel in protest for the national anthem. It's a terrible way to protest against police. But I'm sure he was surrounded by a bunch of liberal wing nuts that were telling him what a hero he would be. Stupid fricks

Kaepernick has donated a TON of time and money towards exactly those things and he’s despised.

He has, I have not heard about others doing so. But doing those things isn't why he or anyone else is kryptonite now. He brought the national anthem into it, and it blew up in his face. If they just did the good deeds, then asked the NFL to help them publicize and spread the message and cause, he would be the face of a franchise right now probably.

You can’t tell me Eric Reid kneeling is a distraction but Greg Hardy throwing his girlfriend on a bed of AR-15’s and choking her out isn’t. Or Donte Stallworth and Leonard Little literally killing people. Or Pac-Man Jones bashing strippers teeth in. Just be honest about it all.

Those people did worse things that Eric but there actions weren’t ongoing and didn’t have a circus that followed.

The issue really isn’t wherher protesting is worse than X, Y, or Z. The issue is that the protest will continue with whatever team signs him.

I’m talking about owners or GMs who may use distraction as an excuse. And yes, unfortunately these protests have brought more negative attention than Ray Lewis obstructing justice in a murder trial. Society is trash.

These idiots like Reid have reporters begging them for interviews all the time, instead of protesting the national anthem and flag they could’ve talked about the “issues” all they wanted. But 99% of those players are completely ignorant when it comes to the issues they protested and it was more about power than anything els. They made a move and they lost, and they did all of this on the orders of a known racist (kaepernicks girlfriend). I have no sympathy for Reid when millionaires complain about oppression it’s always gonna be a bad look.

This is very true. If it was truly about the message, they would have immediately changed their way of protesting when they realized their demonstrations offended some and the message was lost.

Bingo - it’s not the cause that has people upset; it’s that they decided to disrespect our country and those who died for our freedom by kneeling. There are plenty of ways to get your point across, but if you choose to do so by mocking our country, you alienate many of your would-be supporters - I don’t care what his cause is or how valid it might be, this is not the way to get support for it.

In a 24/7 news cycle, people move past things. If he and others would have knelt for only a week or two, it would be behind them. The issue is that they knelt every week, even when it was known that their message was lost upon the masses.

The best way for the NFL to stop the kneeling, is to get rid of the players that are the leaders of the movement.

I’m of the opinion that 80% of the kneelers last season knelt because all their peers were kneeling.

Another 19% believe in the cause but not to the point of losing their jobs so they kneel as long as they have safety in numbers.

Only 1% of the kneelers are actually willing to give up these careers for the cause.

Get rid of the 1% and the 99% will fall back in line.

It’s harsh, but it’s reality.

Don't care if he plays again. He dishonored the flag and in doing so dishonored all the people who have sacrificed so that a spoiled brat athlete is free to earn millions. Not that it matters but I have not watched an NFL game in two seasons, just don't like politics in my entertainment.

So basically this dude wants money, but then to spit on the faces of the guys paying him that money, calling them oppressive and part of the problem.

Yeah, that sure will help getting a new contract. How bout this.. youve never been oppressed in your fricking life Mr. Reid. You are a light skinned dude that has been given everything because of your status as a football player. From middle school, to high school, to LSU and to the pros.

I hope current players, former players & future recruits who are considering LSU read these responses from so-called LSU fans.

You’re probably right. What happened to Kaepernick is an illusion.

Try some reality jackass.

It become obvious a lot of people hate when a black person/athlete speak against anything. Telling him to leave politics out of the game or deal with the consequences of your actions... Speaking up for women rights is politics, fighting against child hunger is politics, speaking against domestic violence is politics, speak up against school shootings is politics I've seen commercial ads pushed by the Nfl for most of the points ive pointed... So stop with the b.s own up to who really a racist and stop asking your favorite black for autographs
