You misinterpreted what he was trying to say. He’s complaining about athletes being paid, not disliking the locker room.
He also criticized how other people's donated money is used to improve facilities when the money could have been used for scholarships.
Which brings a question to mind: I wonder how much money Reid has donated for scholarships at LSU?

i would have PAID to be good enough to play football at LSU . IN my eyes it is a privilege to play at LSU the perks of free tuition great meals medical care education and the numerous other extras have a tremendous value. Knocking the plush facilities by a paid professional seems counter productive. If Eric wants to argue for players to be paid by the NCAA then do it buy don't knock what private donations are doing for current athletes.

You literally didn't read the tweet. He said LSU facilities from 7 years ago are better than Carolina Panthers.
The hard on for whining about Eric Reid is hilarious on here.

He’s not criticizing the locker room. He’s pointing out that LSU has plenty of money but they are unable to compensate players due to NCAA rules.

It's 2019 man. You're not a true American if you're not cutting your dick off, tweeting about being offending, and complaining about a broken system that made you millions.

Such an ignorant statement, like these schools, don't want to play for players?

Does this even make sense to yourself?

There are many LSU students who also tweeted their displeasure with the facility, why didn’t you make a thread about that?

I am assuming this is sarcasm? If not do you really think P5 schools are eager to reach into their budget to pay players. Of course, they don't want to pay them why would they.

At least half the people in this thread didn't read it and just came in to say "frick Eric Reid."
This thread was needless.

How much has Eric donated to LSU?
Many of us don’t make quite what he does, but we donate more to LSU than he does.
Eric, STFU you liberal count.

doesn't seem like he's critical of the locker room at all... just the NCAA rule of not paying players
Ole Eric means well....he just can't seem to get out of his own way when it comes to communicating to the masses what he really means.
How about this:
"While I'm happy that my school is able to benefit from the resources the NCAA allows, it would be nice if the NCAA reviewed the hypocrisy they have established when it comes to sharing those resources with the student athletes."

He chooses the unveiling of the new facilities as the proper time to post his criticism. People are saying that he's actually being critical of the NCAA regulations, but he never mentions the NCAA at all.
If calling out the NCAA, rather than LSU, was his intent, he did a horrible job of it. Some are trying to add to his statement by saying, "Well, what he actually meant was this." He can certainly clarify what he meant on Twitter if his problem was with the NCAA. Again, he never mentions the NCAA or their restrictions on paying players, so that apparently wasn't the purpose he had in mind.

I kinda agree with him, but it’s not LSU’s fault for building a lavish locker room. If the NCAA says you can’t play the athletes, you better give them a first class lifestyle if you’re making millions off them.

How is it LSU's fault if the NCAA only allows for a limited stipend in addition to a full scholarship? I guess Reid could have gone right to the NFL out of high school at 18 instead of taking advantage of LSU's training facilities, coaching and the opportunity to prepare for the NFL by playing against the best competition in the nation all while having his college education and all related expenses paid for? Uh, except that the NFL has a rule that you have to be 3 years removed from high school to apply for their draft. And for good reason - 18 year old kids aren't ready to play in the NFL. Again, how is that LSU's fault?
I can't believe that Reid can't understand that all of that money that the athletic program donates to the university is generated by the ticket sales, merchandising, TV contracts and bowl revenue that is predicated on the success of the athletic teams. That success depends on being able to provide elite level athletes with elite facilities. Certain Reid, who was a business major, understands the concept of captital reinvestment or how the success of athletic teams indirectly benefits other students by strengthening academic programs?
