One thing I noticed is they caused a false start on LSU being so loud after the muffed punt.

We had a bunch of false starts/offsides penalties. I'm not blaming the crowd there. The team was huddled on the sideline and the clock was running down for some reason and it looked like we were going to need to rush to get the play off in time when they hurried to the line, then they reset it just a couple of seconds before our guy moved as Daniels was calling the play.

I thought it sounded very loud on tv
Large empty sections in east upper but as said thats a lot of visiting seats

Still think it was a mistake to build the new upper south. Its easier then ever to stay home and enjoy the games No need to add extra capacity
And god forbid we have some losing seasons

Plenty of empty seats and disinterested fans to start the game. Lots of people just wanting to be seen and posting snapchats and not even watching the game. Once they cleared out it was just the die hards who actually gave a shite and then it got fun.

Thought the opposite being there

Did you leave early? For most of the second half, the crowd looked awesome on TV.

It was really cool to see.

Not meaning this question as a shot. Maybe the broadcast did something to make the crowd seem more electric than it really was.

You’ve got to love people who were watching the game on TV telling those who were actually there how the environment was.

I was there and thought that the turnout and energy were great for a game against an unranked Moo State in hot weather.

I’ve got a nice hangover to show for it too.

Point is, only a dumb crowd is that loud when their team is on offense trying to score a td.

It was specifically mentioned by the announcers when the crowd finally started to wake up. Were they not at the game? You think people watching on tv are too dumb to hear the difference between a quiet crowd and when we finally hear noise?

What did the offense give us to cheer about in the first half? Defense played their hearts out all game. It’s not a correlation that the crowd started to wake up when the offense started to score.

If this is what the crowd is now, LSU fans need to stop calling themselves some of the best, loudest fans. Used to be, even if the team wasn’t good the crowd could help cause huge upsets.

Now, you are saying, even in a close game against an SEC West rival, the offense wasn’t playing great so they didn’t deserve a loud crowd. But you admit the defense played their hearts out, which is when the crowd should be making noise anyway, with defense on field.

Basically you admitted the crowd sucked and were a bunch of losers who couldn’t even cheer on a defense playing their hearts out.

Is that the line for good and bad now? They were good for one half, so thumbs up?

The Ole Miss game in 2020 was like that. Rainy and cold. Terrible game. Me and the 11 other people who stayed had a blast when it turned into a ball game.

Championship flags are in the northeast corner.
No way the sun sets behind them.

OP, you're trying too hard.

I’ve never been to an SEC game with so few visiting fans. It was actually nice not seeing tons of celebrating assholes when I’m pissed off from the other team scoring.

Agree. I was very surprised at how few Moo State fans made the trip. In the past, they've brought a good-sized contingent.

I think in the SEC stadium arms race we got a bit carried away. 90k would fill the stadium for virtually all SEC games. I've been to Tennessee games when I lived there. 107k and miserable. 102k at LSU with some seats so far away you wish you were home with a big screen and home concessions but find yourself looking down from a lunar orbit.

I can't remember if they normally travel well, but there were very few State fans at the game.
