It was loud for sure. I kept thinking the crowd sounded into it.

People keep saying it was empty.. I’m here to tell you, it wasn’t. I stayed until the alma mater and it was packed. People were slow getting back from half due to concessions taking a little longer or getting a break from the sun for a minute.

As far as crowd engagement, this was one of the best games I’ve been to in years. It reminded me of the Dinardo/early Saban era when we were fighting to get into the top half of the SEC. The fans rushing for the exit when we went up 24-16 was embarrassing

I wasn’t impressed with Tiger Stadium last night either

Nor particularly I after watching about 105,000 fans waving towels with only a minute left in the game at Kyle last night.

Watching on my TV, the crowd was loud and the stands looked pretty full. It appeared to be a great game environment.

I never listen to the TV broadcast ( Tiger broadcast team)Tiger stadium looked good and once we started playing ball the noise level went up . It wasn't the earthquake game but was good overall.

East and West sidelines looked sparse. I’m always amazed by the amount of empty seats for SEC games, especially with 5pm being such a good slot. The students and end zones did seem rowdy, but that’s what you’d expect.

Agree with the poster who mentioned the turf. It looked rough and burnt up.

The sideline seats looked to be 65-70% full on TV in the 2nd half. Looked pretty bad to be the SEC opener, good weather for September, & home underdog. Add to that the 5pm kickoff which means you shouldnt be terribly late getting home.

Folks must have been tired from all of that exhausting tailgating.

The East upper was sparse, but part of that was MSU didn't travel and perhaps another issue was the intense sun on that side of the stadium. It was hot as hell if you were in the direct sunlight.

Crowd was very quiet for a lot of the game. It was nice when they finally decided to act like they were at a game.

One thing I noticed is they caused a false start on LSU being so loud after the muffed punt. That’s the sign of a bad, dumb crowd. Stfu when your team has the ball.

In section 215 (north endzone), some A holes kept tossing liquids and other garbage from behind us. I hope that was just water. Cop went up there but not sure he found the guilty party.

there was one point in the third quarter everyone in the bar was wondering where the crowd noise went.

That must have been one quiet, lame bar.

It was great. LSUShelly owes me a big fat fricking apology.
Was it full? No but TS hardly "almost empty" like he assumed it would be in a close game vs State. Little bitch got 33 upvotes for that comment. They can all come eat some crow.
Little video I took during a TV Timeout in the middle of the 4th quarter.

Pic I took at beginning of 4th Quarter.

Idk about that. I don’t normally care about empty seats but seeing a whole section of the upper deck empty wasn’t the best look

Those were the visitor seats. Surprisingly, MSU fans didn’t travel. They typically do.

The atmosphere resonated very well on TV. The excitement in the stadium was apparent. We had some big recruits there, too. That likely helped sway them at least a bit.

There empty seats all over place. A lot of LSU fans didn't show either.

Mid-way through the 4th, with a healthy lead, and there’s a really energetic buzz in the stadium during what appears to be a timeout. Gotta love it!

Thats a bit of an over-exaggeration. There are SOME empty seats, yes. But the stadium looks 90% full…mid-way through the 4th. It didn’t really effect the atmosphere.

Here's a video I took of Daniels' rushing TD.

Not bad crowd for an almost empty stadium.
Daniels 4th Quarter Rushing TD

sidebar: when i upload vids from my phone to Imgur the sound is removed but quality is HD. From my computer, the sound is there but quality sucks. Sorry for the 150 pixel video clips.

Our fans obsess over this stuff. I went and thought it looked fine. Upper East obviously had the most empty seats (no shock there). I didn't see many State fans at all in there and only saw a few in the South End Zone. The crowd was great in the 2nd half. We shouldn't be shocked by people leaving early at this point as LSU fans and should be even less shocked following the Southern game traffic disaster. The stadium is too big for the demand now with the costs/traffic and every game being on TV. It has been this way for some time. The stadium only gets full or near full for Bama, highly ranked teams and unique occasions like last week.
