Not at all, but no one should expect to get more money, promotions, better working conditions without competing for them.
It’s a total assumption that he doesn’t want to compete and have it given to him, as you’re saying here. Do you know Lowell Narcisse? Have you met him? Is someone on the LSU staff saying this?

He had a great opportunity here at LSU.
What if he has a better opportunity somewhere else?

Then why is he leaving?

Joe Burrow isn't a redshirt freshman though. Joe was also passed up by a freshman or sophomore if not mistaken too. Bad comparison.

Because he found a better opportunity for he and his family

Maximize his potential. He could go to a JUCO and play 4 years instead of backup up Joe for 2 and then playing 2.
If he’s gonna transfer bows the time to do it.
Also he can go JUCO and pick where he goes without O limiting him.
It’s a sound business decision.

How does he know it’s a better opportunity? Do you think he already knows where he’s going and is guaranteed a starting spot? What is so wrong with continuing to compete and waiting for your moment to shine?

You people that say players like LN are doing what’s best for themselves have created a culture of entitlement for athletes. How many shy away from competition because their mommas or daddies convince them that they are the best and they shouldn’t have to compete.

He knows better than any of us. He’s in the QB meeting room everyday, seeing what Ensminger is wanting to do.

Yes

No. Who said he wants a spot guaranteed?

Who said he doesn’t want to compete? Also, if I had 2 ACL surgeries, I’d probably try to make life changing NFL money as soon as possible too.

Don’t forget Ed rage quit at USC after he didn’t get the job in 2013, didn’t coach in the bowl game.

Dude walks in off the street and bumps you to 3rd string....
You only have 4 years in collage you need to get on the field. If you cant do that At LSU then let him play somewhere else.

Not exactly how it happen. Y’all do know that burrow and all qbs have been part of 7 on 7 all summer. So not like it just been 2 weeks. Coaches get film of the 7 on 7 and have been evaluating all summer. So all Qb were on equal playing field and all got there chances to impress..

Is it not possible that the kid realizes that he will never start at LSU because the competition is. Too stiff and he would be better off somewhere else where the competition is less and the scheme is better suited to his talents? Entitlement may have not even entered the picture!

It’s no different than college grads entering the workforce and thinking they should be promoted within 6 months of being hired.
It's completely different and not akin to your promotion scenario at all.
If you know you aren't getting the position you want, why not put yourself in a situation where you have a better shot to garner that position elsewhere?
He knew he wasn't going to be the starter, so he is putting himself in a position to be the starter elsewhere. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.
You sound like those people who bitch about people not working for the same company for 40 years anymore. You can garner exponentially better opportunities by changing situations and settings, both in sports and in life.

He was in the program for a little over a year. Better give up and move on because he didn’t win the job as a redshirt freshman!!
