Was with the program for a year, quit on the team in the middle of fall camp.

Just stop

Players are more empowered now than ever before and people like you feel threatened by that. God help you when they actually start getting paid, will you be able to cope?

Burrow is a RS Junior. Bit of a difference there

There is no difference actually. They both were not going to start for the next 2 years at least and if the coaches here at LSU have their hearts set on MB taking over which seems pretty clear, it makes no sense to wait and see only to be left out in the cold.

Hey another kicker, Coach O left LSU too as a player. Jimbo Fisher left FSU. Saban left LSU. UM left Florida. It's what you can do as a human being. You can make decisions that you feel are best for you and yours.

The competition isn’t over jackass, Burrow could get knocked out in the first game. I’m fricking 30 dumbass. I bet you beg the coach to let little Jaden play so he doesn’t get his poor feelings hurt.

Don’t forget Ed rage quit at USC after he didn’t get the job in 2013, didn’t coach in the bowl game.

It’s a game and I couldn’t care less. It’s hilarious that the fault falls on the coach and not the culture that propagates kids giving up at the first sign of adversity.

Why blame the multimillionaire who doesn’t understand roster management.

Right, when I think of giving up at the first sign on adversity, I think of Lowell “2 blown out knees” Narcisse.

Great point

Left after spring practice. Not in the middle of fall camp. If you can’t identify the immaturity that plays into that decision then i don’t know what to tell you.

Agreed. He has the most upside of any of the QBs on the roster. If he had to sit behind Joe for a year or even 2 he'd still have 2 years of eligibility left

I don't quite see it that way.

If Narcisse felt entitled, he'd stay and end up being a lockeroom cancer. He'd mouth off on twitter... during the season. He'd facebook recruits and say negative things.

I'm just saying I disagree with the word "entitlement" in this case.

He did rehab from 2 bum knees. That takes work, sustained effort. Entitlement would have been not putting in that work.

If I were to rephrase for you I'd say it is more "poorly managed expectations" with, maybe, a small dose of "not seeing the big picture"; not being a good teammate.

He has to manage his own expectations. That's what he's doing with this transfer. I just happen to think it's more mis-management.

As for not seeing the big picture: there are 99 other people on that roster and what is a national brand on the line year after year. No one in their right mind would risk their hard work for his ego and/or expectations. That is just the real world. He failed to see that.

In the end, maybe he's being a little selfish. I don't see being selfish as "evil". I think being selfish is part of our make-up, and is the best thing for #1 (yourself). But if you are on a team, or in the military, that HAS to be put aside. Maybe he's incapable of that. And that's his cross to bear.

But he has 2 years of eligibility after Burrow is done

I'd say he transferred prematurely

You people that say players like LN are doing what’s best for themselves have created a culture of entitlement for athletes.

1) No one gives a shite about your non athletic kid

2) Life is all about opportunity. LN clearly sees there is no opportunity for him at LSU so he is putting himself in a better position to have an opportunity.

Using your theory, no one should ever leave their job for more money, promotions, better working conditions, etc...

Spend less time judging people for trying to better their situations and go teach your kid how dribble or some shite.

That’s not even close to a good comparison. This would be like me getting a shot at my dream job and giving up because other candidates are competing and potentially leading for said job

There are other dream jobs

Not at all, but no one should expect to get more money, promotions, better working conditions without competing for them. He had a great opportunity here at LSU.

It’s no different than college grads entering the workforce and thinking they should be promoted within 6 months of being hired.

He left after the coach said who his top 2 QBs on the depth chart were. Same as LN. They just received that information at different times. Easy to understand.
