This thread is about him calling his shot, and then we went out and sucked for most of 2018.

2018 was LSU's best season overall since 2011 and Burrow passed for the 5th most yards in LSU history.

We’ll see after this upcoming season.

We’ve seen 2 seasons of Ensminger by himself and 1 year with Brady.

It's the old 'what have you done for me lately' crowd around here. We just witnessed the best season in LSU history, offensively. Yet it was all Brady.

I think O did what it took to bring in new blood to help Ensminger, no doubt. But Ensminger readily accepted it since he's a 'team' coach, and not a Johnny Come Lately like all you naysayers are.

I give Brady a ton of the credit, no doubt. I wish he'd stayed. I wish he were the heir apparent to Ensminger, and he might be yet, one of these days.

Screw y'all. Bunch of entitled, dimwit, punk assed youngsters.

Y'all can kiss my old worn out arse and meet me at Sonic, Dairy Queen, Tastee Freeze, or wherever else you can get your parents to drive you to.

I get sick and tired of being sick and tired of any of you doubting Thomas pieces of crap.

Grow the hell up. And stay off my lawn, by God.

Ensminger was the genius behind that run last year. Brady gets the credit but those that have watched a lot of football know Big E was the man.

So, you're saying Brady was brought in to overhaul the offense.

If it weren’t for Brady bringing the offense we would have not have won the championship!! Period!

If "O" and staff did not sign Burrow the championship would not have been won either

"O" also hired Brady

Both Burrow and Brady were not household names and neither were considered great before O got them to LSU.

Contending for championships every year in college football is about building a program that includes a good coaching staff and elite recruiting every year.

I'm saying Brady, thank God, was brought in to revitalize a part of the game I haven't seen in years, some of you young bucks have never seen in a lifetime. All you wet behind the ear punks.

It's sort of like having a damn good surgeon who consults with another doctor who might have knowledge that will assist doctor no. 1.

I by no means am discounting what Brady brought. I'd dare say we might not have gone as far as we did without him. But you scum sucking young generation entitled bastards think you know everything and don't have a clue.

Can you not remember when Miles was run off and right out of the box Ensminger called a play we did know existed in our playbook? A pass to a tight end.

You have to admit our offense was much better last year than it had been in years. And even better this past season. I credit Brady immensely. No doubt.

But none of you want to give Ensminger one damn ounce of credit. So, blast away you pieces of afterbirth.

1. That woudl be impressive if we had more than 4 people in school history ever pass for more than 2700 yards. He was 36th nationally, and 7th in the conference in 2018. He also only threw 16 TDs. where does that rank in LSU history?

2. If you take out the overtime against Texas A&M we averaged under 23 points on offense in conference play.

3. in 2017 we scored 44 TDs. in 2018 we scored 48. 5 in OT vs A&M.

People forget that going into the Texas A&M game our defense basically kept us in the season getting our offense great field position, and they were a top 10 scoring defense.

Go look at out games.

33-17 vs Miami, with a defensive TD
31-0 vs Southeastern and we got the ball 4 times inside our own 50 yard line (we had 1 drive over 50 yards and it involved a hail mary)
22-21 vs Auburn
19-3 vs Miss State
24-17 vs Arkansas.

Yeah we blew out some shitty teams but in two of our loses we scored 19 and 0 points and in the third the offense scored 24 points in regulation.

That offense objectively wasn'y good in 2018 and it would have been statistically an abomination if we didn't score 41 points in overtime on Joe Burrow's sheer force of will.

Agree with you in this thread.

Nobody was saying all those nice things about E after we lost 0-29 to Bama in '18.

Is this a knock on Orgeron I am hearing from you, with his decision to hire Ensminger as the OC?

I’m not a naysayer or a youngster, Just putting out his history with and without brady. .guess you don’t like facts.

My post shouldn’t have gotten you riled up, you seem sensitive.

Hope he doesn’t miss a beat next year, but if you don’t think a lot of eyes aren’t on his playcalling, your sadly mistaken.

It's impressive to me now, and it was impressive to me at the time. At the time it was the 4th most yards in school history, ahead of some of the best LSU QBs ever, including two national title winners.

If you couldn't see LSU's offense improve and change over the season, then you are being willfully ignorant.

I don’t care what they call him. He won’t be in control of the offense for the second straight year

And you think I’ve never criticized Orgeron. That’s cute lmao

You're easily impressed. He threw less TD than Sophomore Jordan Jefferson, and didn't crack 3000 yards.

What improvement did you see against Alabama

What improvement did you see against Arkansas?

Those games were in November they were our 9th and 10th game of the year.

We scored 19 vs Miss State the week before that.

We only scored 24 points in regulation vs A&M.

But if you want to pretend scoring Rice and UCF meant something than great. No one involved in the 2018 offense is gonna say anything different, but we would have scored 80 on that Rice defense this year.

Offense was totally different from 18 to 19.

Or we were completely right and The offense sucked in 2018.

You don’t get to step up to the plate, point at centerfield, his a grounder and then take credit for calling your shot when you hit a homer next season.

I rewatched the 2019 Fiesta bowl the other day and I picked up on something that gives at least some of the credit for the offensive mojo to ensminger. The quick tempo burst in certain situations was utilized pretty frequently in select situations in that game too. It's something that came to full fruition last year, but was at least being implemented by the bowl game of the season prior.

I really like the way that we use it to dictate personnel. We started going quickly to the line mostly in short yardage situations because we had the ability to power it up the middle with our existing personnel, without letting the defense get their big bodies in to defend it. I never noticed before last year, but they definitely started by at least the bowl game the year prior.
