Even if he's eligible it's pretty clear now that he's not what everyone thought he would be coming out of high school. Average backs have made just as many good highlight runs as he has.

Huge if true. I would love to see him break out.
Give it up already. He is not going to breakout. The hype and expectations this guy continues to get is unreal. Any contributions he makes is a positive. But we have plenty of running backs to rely on without him. I like Kaleb Jackson, Noah Cain, and Josh Williams. Any contributions from the others is just icing on top of the cake.

Nick Brossette didn't do shite until his final season, and he wasn't as physically gifted as Emery. Just saying. He might flop, but he might pop. The potential is there. I don't understand how that isn't a positive, but I have to remember this tis the rant.
There is a difference in something being "a positive" and something being "huge". It is always a positive to have as many talented players as possible. And his inclusion is a positive. It's just I wouldn't exactly describe it as "huge" given his fleeting production over the course of 4 years.
Also, Brossette was behind Fournette, Guice and Darrell Williams for most of his career. That's why his opportunities were limited until his senior season. There hasn't been tremendous talent ahead of Emery (outside of CEH for one season) for his entire 4 years. Yet, he's never been a guy who has gotten more than a few carries here and there. The coaches have always seen the flashes that made him a 5 star prospect. But he just hasn't produced with any consistency.

It would definitely help the RB room if he were able to play but he has been one of the least dependable players I can remember. I’m glad BK went and got Diggs which also shows BK doesn’t have a ton of confidence in Emery either.

The dude is super talented if he could just get his shite together, finally.
You mean four and you are still quoting recruiting messages.
I don't believe you.
Fool me once
Fool me twice
Fool me thrice
He has one final opportunity.
You still have money on that horse?

He hits the edge in OT in 2011, scores, and doesn’t step out.
Bama doesn’t get a do over
Oh Emery why were you not cleared in 2011 lol

You don't think that John Emery is super talented?

Time for Emery to move on. Nothing but distractions from him the whole time he’s been here

Prove me wrong by all means young man but I have 4 years of tape saying that’s likely not going to happen
He’s got the best tape on the team at rb . Wtf are you talking about. I haven’t seen anyone show more ability than him

You are so close to the end Emory. Don’t fumble away your last chance literally, lol

The problem is that tape is very, very short. So while I think everyone would agree he may have the ability, the fact that after 4 years you can still count his great movements/games on one hand (2020 game vs. Vanderbilt, 2020 run vs. Alabama, a few plays vs. Auburn in 2022, the TD vs. Alabama in 2022) makes it unlikely to think he's going to "break out" this season.
Everyone is hoping that he does. There's just no real reason to believe he will.

this is not even remotely true. 190 carries 941 yards with 13 touchdowns for an average of 6.3 yd/carry and 31.4 yds/game for his career.
Last year alone Logan Diggs ran for 822 yards and 4 TDs on 165 carries. His bowl game against South Carolina included a 75 yard receiving touchdown and 39 yard touchdown run. I don't even think Diggs is going to be our best running back but its statements like the one above that just make zero sense.
The obsession with Emery after 4 years of him proving time after time he cannot be counted on is beyond frustrating.

Everyone needs to get off his arse. He has more talent in his pinkey finger nail than any of you Debbie’s. I hope he gets a shot and does himself proud. It will be tough for all of them. Practice will be a prove it every time any of them touch the ball. The cream will rise to the top.

No one is "on his arse", and if you are an LSU fan you hope he finally lives up to the hype coming out of HS. The response, however, is to the OP saying his return is "huge" when his on field performance has been minimal over the course of 4 years.

He may be. When is he going to show it? Time is running out.
What proof do you have that he is super talented.
I would be very excited if he becomes the number 1 running back. I have seen the exciting play of the other backs. If he replaces the others he may very well be "Super Talented".
