He could be seen waving a towel and cheering loudly on big plays.

He’s a true freshman that has made mistakes when he’s in the game it happens.
I expect him to be a great running back for LSU. Some kids come from high school systems that better prepare them for college some don’t. He is just a little behind on knowing where to be but he’ll figure it out and be great.

LSU is all in to winning this year!

CEH gives them the best chance as he’s running like a beast. Davis-Price is just a little better than Emory right now so he comes in to give CEH a breather.

It’s no reason to run off and transfer. He will have plenty of opportunities to run the ball before his career is finished as long as he studies and knows where he needs to be.

Clyde and TD Price are 1 and 2, and he is # 3 trying to work into more snaps.

He's a true freshman dude.

You're acting like the OP is arguing against the status quo. He's not. Most who have responded seem to have reading comprehension problems. He asked a specific question about how Emery is dealing with it.

If he has not played in more than 4 games,Redshirting is NOT a bad thing.

It puts a year of separation between him and TDP, it gives him more time to grow, more time to read blitzes and playbook.

It’s a win win if CEH TDP and possibly Curry to carry the load and let emery redshirt.

*****he could even be the feature back in 2021/2022 but just taking a little time to learn to read blitzes.

This. I'd also add that his skillset overlaps with Clyde more than Price. Price is playing in his role because he's destroying between the tackles. If CEH were hurt for example, I think that Emery would probably get more touches than we would think...probably 50/50 with Price.

not put the ball on the turf.

I agree he has to learn the blitz pickups and the whole playbook. He also hasn't been quite as productive as either CEH or TDP. She's shown flashes of greatness.

But, the fumble? That was just a great play by the defender. I don't think it is a responsibility or carelessness issue.

1 thing......pass blocking. It’s not the playbook, it’s not the reads running the ball, it’s not grades. He’s struggling in pass protection. But he will get it.

He had his shot early and was put played by another freshman. His 4 games are up so I’m assuming he’ll get his redshirt and have a chance next year. We really don’t need him this year unless we catch an injury bug down the stretch.

Same here. I think we should take carries away from more proven, sure-handed backs so we don’t upset him. A loss in the last month of this season will be easier to swallow if it means Emery’s feelings aren’t hurt.

Agreed, but I think people want to see more touches being that he was a consensus top 3 RB in the nation coming out of HS

And that means nothing once they set foot on campus and have to compete for time.

If that’s the type of player he is, good riddance if he goes. You don’t get to play just because you were a star at your high school. Right now, he is a liability on the field. He’s got to learn the plays. If he doesn’t or can’t, then it’s best he move on.

OP asks a really hard question to answer. Truly, you're wondering whether any of us know this kid personally, or have a few degrees of separation from him. Ask a journalist - that's their job.
We are having an absurd amount of discussion about a kid that shouldn't be starting or touching the ball more than he is because of his recruiting status.
If he enters the transfer portal, that will be disappointing but not a coaching mistake. It will have been a decision a young man made for feeling undervalued on a national championship offense. We have a dynamic running game allowing a generational talent (to be proven) to redshirt.
Pod of Geauxld comments well on this at 27:47 of their post game review. I'm not sure if they have insider information.

Can we stop with these threads??? shite!!! CEH deserves every single touch he's getting, PERIOD.

8-0 and #1 in the nation with the best offense we've ever witnessed, but all a few of you seem to care about is a freshman RB getting more touches...

Well, the Rant and fanbase as a whole are in a weird situation...the starting quarterback is actually the most popular player on the team, whereas in the past the backup QB was always most popular.

We don't know how to handle that, so some folks have decided that we need to discuss freshman runningbacks.
