Anyone have any first hand info on him and is he upset not playing or is he understanding he has to get his blocks down to protect our leader and to play essentially. I guess I’m asking because we are in the age of this transfer portal BS and would hate to have him disgruntled.

Pretty much what it says . TP has made it easier on guys to leave if unhappy with playing time obviously.

There’s been 10 threads started about John Emery. He’s going to get his shot at some point, but Clyde has the hot hand and TDP seems to have the coaches trust as next in line. No need for panic.

Can we stop with these threads??? shite!!! CEH deserves every single touch he's getting, PERIOD.

8-0 and #1 in the nation with the best offense we've ever witnessed, but all a few of you seem to care about is a freshman RB getting more touches...

Agreed, but I think people want to see more touches being that he was a consensus top 3 RB in the nation coming out of HS.

I mean he was allowed to play in one of the best offenses in the country as a freshman. He'll get to play some more - for four years if he wants.

I don't give two shits about high school. I want LSU to score as many points as possible. If Emery ain't ready, he ain't ready.

Cant wait to see John come into his but he has to learn the plays and not put the ball on the turf.

He’s going to be a great player and I believe he’ll get his shot before this seasons over, but Clyde is playing to well right now to reduce his touches.

So, you would rather watch Emery get 2 yards a carry, miss blocks, and fumble than watch CEH & TDP dominate? Emery will get his turn when he earns it.

He would still have to sit a year.

The transfer portal just makes it easier for us to know who wants to transfer

He and TDP have a great relationship. He knows his time will come. Great kid with a great attitude.

He's a true freshman dude. And in all honesty in the chances he's had to touch the ball he hasn't done a whole lot. Davis price has had more touches and more playing time bc he makes something happen when he gets it. We don't have the luxury of just putting in players just so they stay happy when we have other players at their position who contribute more than them at this moment. He will get his time he just has to get used to this level of competition and the amount of preparation and effort it takes to be a contributor. Once again, he's only a true freshman and has alot of time left to improve his game. He will be fine.

I guess that’s all I was asking is how is his demeanor not getting all the touches he had hoped too thus far. Glad to hear that

He's not ready. He doesn't know the offense. I forget who it was against, they put him in for the first time in the game, and the play was going to be for him. He was supposed to run out into the flat for a screen pass. Instead, he stayed in and tried to block as the guys on the O-Line allowed the rush to come in so he could get past them. Burrow ended up turning it into a nice gain by running for it, but as soon as the play was over, #9 bounced up, found Emory, and angrily pointed for him to get off the field. When he got to the sideline you could see him getting an earful.

The leap in complexity in the offense is holding him back, but he'll get there. Or he won't, and next year it will be the CEH and TDP show again. Either way, we're in good hands.

Tbh I see his lack of touches aren’t because of TDP I think this offense is kind of like the saints offense where Clyde is feature back kind of like Kamara and TDP is your physical change of pace back kind of like Ingram so I don’t think it’s Price that’s taking snaps away for him but it’s Clyde emergence this season that taking snaps away from him

Probably been told they are going to red shirt him. He has already played in a few games this year already. Why blow a year of eligibility if he is not needed.
