Why are we excited about a guy averaging 4/3?

He's an athletic big who can block shots, defend, rebound a little. Not a program changer but fills an immediate need for the '18-'19 season. He's a piece that we can use. Baylor and Wichita St. among those pursuing him, fwiw

I wasn't excited about Bigby until I watched his highlight reel. He is a freak athlete with good size. I just wish he was eligible immediately

He's a defensive presence that was a reserve on a final four team.

He will be an immediate starter as a redshirt senior on a team losing at least 3 senior bigs

Thus just sucks I was pulling for this kid, 7 footers with his size are rare in college hoops and if there's any niche you can find for one to put him on the floor you need to try to do it. Best of luck to him I just hate seeing kids quit.

Good luck to Elbert. I admire him for sticking around to graduate. Hope he can enjoy playing his final year of eligibility at another school.

Wade definitely changing the look of this team.

I think that has a lot to do with it plus I've heard he has asthma or something and with Wades style it's probly a tall task for Elbert to keep up. Just figured with him being a senior he'd want to be part of the team. He was such a highly rated prospect I expected him to be a rotation player by now.

Not suprised to see him go. Probably couldn't handle Wade's intense practices.

Not dudes who figured out in college they have diabetes

Just him doing what he did was impressive enough. Keeping that height and weight while handling that medical issue is nuts.

ER's leaving is irrelevant as far as a potential Bigby transfer is concerned. ER was a senior and Bigby would have to sit a year anyway. Doesn't really change anything unless Bigby becomes eligible immediately

Umm, yes it does. Bigby would be on scholarship during his transfer sit-out year.

To get Bigby, someone has to leave.

I was just curious I've been a fan of all of Wade's moves so far. I just saw everyone pumped about the kid so I checked his stats. Looked pretty pedestrian

It seemed inevitable that Elbert would leave the team.

Congrats to him for still pursuing the degree and best of luck to him.
