I don’t know how he fooled so many of you idiots

The people that supported Ed and cheered for Les after the A&M win are truly instrumental in fricking this program up

No. You are still wrong. For all Ed's faults, he was the HC for the 2019 team. Call it luck or whatever you want. For one season he pushed all the right buttons. Neither Jimbo or Herman would have did what he did. It's just now time for a change. He's done all he can do and it's time to move on.

It's stupid to wish he had never been hired as some are asserting. 2019 was an all-timer.

this entire shitshow goes back to Alleva. He fricked up beyond repair by not firing Miles at the end of 2015. Then realizes he screwed up and fired him four games into 2016 giving O enough time to put a resume together to get the job. I remember walking out of the Florida game that year and my brother saying well at least we don’t have to worry about Orgeron getting the job now. Boy were we wrong

You're exactly right Alleva was one of the worst ADs I can remember. Miles should've been gone after the 2015 season.

Yeah I was actually happy after that UF debacle, I thought that killed any shot the man had at the job.

Nope. I underestimated just how incompetent Alleva was and how dumb a fan base was that was still clamoring for him

Don’t forget why he wasn’t fired that night, JBE and his wanting to pass a massive tax increase due to budget shortfalls. The optics of LSU fording a coach and paying him 10’s of millions not to coach (despite all of it being privately funded) while at the same time the governor begging for more tax dollars just couldn’t happen

Jindal was governor when that happened.
Would have to find a calendar from then, but election was right around that time frame, so JBE might have been "elected" already, but wasn't in office yet.,

There were many and by many I mean the majority on this board were very much against the hire of Orgeron being named the permanent head coach. Some tried to explain away his past failings while using his interim stint at LSU to help further advance the narrative that he’s a “changed coach”

The problem is Orgeron is simply exactly what the majority here thought he was and his behavior off the field coupled with his failings on the field since 2019, firmly cement the fact that the majority here were always right.

As I said on here when Orgeron was gifted the permanent head coaching job… “You can’t train a mule to be a fricking race horse”… Orgeron was always and forever will be a “Mule”.

Spot on. I wasn't initially on board with the hire either but once he got Burrow in 18 and won the Fiesta, I thought things might be looking up and maybe I was wrong. As it turns out, I wasn't wrong and Ed O at Ole Miss is the real Ed O.

The post-Bama rant was fine in the moment, but just plain dumb because there was no way in hell he could live up to it. And wouldn’t you know it, he hasn’t.

He also screwed the pooch on the BLM issue, he’s the anti-Saban.

You are a fool and don't know how to believe in the coach that just won a championship. It takes awhile because they have new co-ordinators to get the offense and defense to gel and it may take over half the season to get it done so have faith in God.

Ed is super unprofessional. I nearly got in to a fight with him at Lambeau. He was d line coach at the time and being from Green Bay I knew where the busses were at. Having rented 3 houses in the area and spending thousands on the game (and drinking since 7 am) I was a little disgusted at the loss to the badgers. I yelled “hey coach that was unacceptable!” He dropped his bag and came over and chewed my arse! “ listen there you little SOB, I don’t have to take that shite from you GD it!” Now this is to a LSU alumni who just spent a lot of money and was rightly pissed. If there wouldn’t have been a fence between us I would have gotten pounded. At the time I thought it was cool because it showed me O cares. Thinking back on it. You don’t want a ceo of a million dollar program acting with such low class.

This is what the off season and fall camp is for. Many people say that the biggest improvements that teams make in a season is between weeks 1 and 2. Nothing has improved on the offensive side of the ball. These are coaching issues and a team with the talent of LSU should've been able to dominate any FCS opponent. That didn't happen last night. Ed just isn't a good head coach and there's no hiding it now. 2019 was the outlier. It wasn't the norm. Last years 5-5 record is the product of the real Coach O. Also, my faith in God has nothing to do with how horrible O is at the head coaching position. Ask Gene Chizik how long fans who pay money to support a program remember a championship season after multiple losing seasons. The argument that he won us a natty in 19 is null and void if he can barely squeak out a .500 season afterwards.
