Curiel takes it very seriously. He put on 20lbs since arriving on campus. I listened to an interview by Paz and get that same type of dedication vibe. Serna gave the impression in person that he is a very serious minded person as well.

Both of those Texas boys are very impressive. Great gets by Jay and we may see both contribute this season.

The rev share crap needs to change. I understand baseball struggles to turn a profit and most breaks even or is a small loss. But you’re turning around and giving WBB more when it’s a big loser (revenue wise not the program itself). Jay deserves all the support possible and a larger slice of the pie

Great post wild.

I’m gonna go with

3- Yorke ( but I secretly want Yamin)
4- Ruckert
5- Dardar
6- Milam

Everything else is set.

Jay did mention at the meeting that he is willing to do commercials if anyone is interested.

Why do we have our 2-time national champion coach out there panhandling to cover for LSU admin putting him at a multimillion dollar revenue sharing disadvantage?

If this is correct, heads need to roll

Per the Rant in it’s hyper emotional state, baseball doesn’t even matter bc it doesn’t make as much money as football

Baseball at LSU was below men's and women't basketball and gymnastics.

Which is a travesty. No way LSU basketball should be getting more or deserves more than Jay and the baseball program.

OUTFIELD: There is Curiel, Stanford and Brown

This could prove to be the best OF in all of college baseball this next season.

As for the position battles. It seems to be Yorke and Simpson at first. Dardar and Reaves at second and Pearson and Carraway at third. There is versatility here though. Most of the infielders can move to another position if need be. For example if Dardar wins second, Reaves could move to third. Simpson could move to second, etc. It will come down to who is hitting more than defense. As with most seasons they will all get opportunities, including the freshman and we will see when SEC rolls around.

Woodward wants to fix the Basketball situation. I could care less. Baseball should be given the 2nd most $ behind football. Period.

With that being said though, we have a lot of good returning players this season so if Jay can help to develop them (which he has proven to be excellent at in year 2 with a player) we will be fine offensively and pitching wise. Our outfield is going to be really good defensively. Curious to see how the infield shakes out.

Getting a 2nd viable catcher to me is the X-factor. It is very difficult to produce offensively when you are an everyday catcher. If Serna or someone else can get into the rotation and allow Arrambide a day or two off from catching but still DH this offense could be better than last season.

From the little that I've seen I believe that we are in good shape here. Serna and Yamin both can swing it with power and appear to be reliable backstops.

I think Cade makes a big jump this season, Eddie and Omar back him up adequately and both can provide some additional pop to our offense DH'n, catching or even at 1B.

Barring injury I believe that we are set with this catching corps.
