LSU has the best hitter and pitcher on the same team and the same time...ever, at LSU.
Aaron Nola is on the roster?
Nola was unreal. Skenes is much more talented. We’ll see how the season plays out. Skenes is absurd.

His defense cost us the CWS in 2013.
I'll play along, his defense is what got us to the CWS. Works both ways.

I think when you look at all around: hitting, fielding, throwing, running: he is probably the best ever but needs a natty to go with it. Todd Walker got some big hits in the CWS that elevated him to that status. That may be the only thing missing. Crews will get his chance.

Alex was better on the bases than Dylan
Nobody who played for Maineri and learned his base running philosophy will ever be better on the bases than Crews.
Are you thinking of Jobert?

But every game he plays it gets harder and harder to deny that he very well may be the best in a program even this rich with history. He’s incredible at basically every aspect of the game.
I am usually the last one to put a tag like this on a player because there are so many factors that play into a players success at a sport. Team they play on, competition they face, talent surrounding them, etc, etc. But there is no denying it at this point. Crews not only has no weakness whatsoever but he excels at everything he does. I bet if they put him on the mound to get 3 outs at the end of a game he would do it. Yeah I am convinced he is the best to ever wear a play for LSU.

Unless Crews leads us to a title. It’s Walker

Stupid logic, especially for baseball

He made 17 errors that year.
It wasn’t his defense as a freshman that got us there. He actually had a pretty bad stent mid season and that’s when the story came out about him sticking around after a game with the lights on to take extra grounders. Crews would never need to do something like that. There’s a chance he’s the best catcher on the team.

I also don't like to put that kind of label on one of our players. I feel so blessed to have seen so many great players over the years in the purple and gold.
What's undeniable is despite how good Crews was when he got on campus, yet he has dramatically improved from his freshman to sophomore year and from sophomore to junior year. For 2 consecutive years our best returning player is also either the most or one of the most improved players.
Another thing is that our other all time best hitters haven't been great defensively. Crews is so good in center he makes a hard hit ball looking like it is headed for the gap look like a routine fly ball

Joey Belle is the only one in the same category

Ok.. your opinion, on record but I thought Browski was actually making this about baseball. So I'm staying on point with agreeing finally after a very long history that DYLAN CREWS has reached the baseball summit.

I know. Wrong place to say it. But he is.
