I don't know why I've been so hesitant to accept this but it is impossible to deny at this point.

Dr. Furniss would like a word.

In the 1998 season, Furniss batted .403 with 27 doubles, three triples, 28 home runs, 85 runs scored, and 76 RBIs.

1997: .378 with 17 home runs and 77 RBIs.

1996: .374 and hit 26 home runs with 103 RBIs

1995: .326

I wonder what Larson would’ve done with three or four seasons?

Considering his only year at LSU was his junior season, you'd have to assume his numbers as a freshman and sophomore would be a little bit less each previous year.

Only time will tell. He’s damn good but needs some longevity and stay at this level of play. I have loved baseball since I was six, many moons ago. Saw the Giants and Dodgers sitting on my aunts lap about 1966.

This young man may be the first baseball statue erected.

I won't speak for anyone other than myself but I can relate. I can relate because in no other major sport have we ever been nearly, remotely as dominant as baseball. We have produced so many talented players in a sport that has so few compared to football but yet still great in their time. It's difficult to self-proclaim ( different eras, bats, etc) one as best but like you and many...I can't deny it any longer at this pace.
