Dont think Dorsey is cut out to be a 3-4 DE and i think the coaches are just trying to get Bowe to work harder.

I still don't understand why a team moving to a 3-4 would draft Dorsey

This is how some guys wind up at New England. They don't work out as well as their team thinks they should, for all kinds of reasons. The player isn't bad, just not great, then they go somewhere like New England and suddenly they are unstoppable.

just sayin'

They drafted Dorsey under the previous coaching staff that ran a 4-3. This is the reason they drafted Tyson Jackson, because he is a five hole DE. Dorsey will be traded to a team that runs a 4-3. He is too small to play nose and to big for DE. As for Bowe, the coach must be trying to motivate him, because the Chiefs receiving corps sucks without Bowe.

actually he's not too big for DE. he's just not athletic enough and/or tall enough

Sometimes good college players just dont make good NFL players. They both were a tad overrated.

I wouldn't call Bowe overrated, he had a good year(over 1100 yards?) with a multitude of different subpar quarterbacks

lol,
i guess Toomer arriving in KC was their answer to replace Bowe since he is struggling.

haha.

Bowe will be fine. His career numbers on a TERRIBLE KC team with worse quarterbacks were pretty darn good

if LJ is healthy and can handle 200 carries, WATCHOUT! of course they dont have gonzales anymore to occupy the linebackers....

Dorsey though.... bleh.... sad to hear about this

I don't understand how you could say this about Bowe. He's, at worst, been the second most productive receiver to come out of the 2006 draft behind Calvin Johnson (top 5 pick).

Bowe:

156 rec. 2017 yds 12 TDs

Johnson:

126 rec. 2087 yds 16 TDs

Other notables:

Steve Smith:

65 rec. 637 yds 1 TD

Anthony Gonzales:

94 rec. 1240 yds. 7 TDs

Steve Breaston:

85 rec. 1098 yds. 3 TDs

exactly. he is a terrible fit in a 3-4. He's a classic 4-3 DT.

Thats really a pretty good receiver class.

Dorsey? yes

Bowe? not at all. averaging 1000 yards and 6tds over your first 2 years with terrible QBs is pretty impressive.

Dorsey overrated? 46 tackles and a sack on the 31st defense in the NFL his rookie season, a team that totaled 10 sacks. The only thing overrated around Dorsey is the egos of of those calling him overrated... rantards just won't die.

This year? Would KC really take that big of a cap hit?

Dorsey is obviously not a great fit for the 3-4 defense, but his contract kind of makes him untradeable. And he had a decent season. KC should think of these things before making decisions about their defense. No reason to hammer a square peg into a circle.

And underrated would be the last word I would use to describe Dwayne Bowe.

not shitty, but pretty sure you expect a litte more out of a top 5 pick.
