hes a good coach, but best in the nation. wow

Your comprehension skills suck.

I agree ..I wouldn't trade Coach miles either.

He may not be the best in the nation but he does have those intangibles.

I am amazed at how much a portion of the lsu fanbase hates success.

I'm not sure they hate it...they just more busy moaning/cliff jumping over the 19% of the time lose as opposed to celebrating the 81% of the time we win.

They want to return to that better time we had it when........wait, has there been a better time???

NO...oh well, they just doing what negative Nancy's do best...whine, complain, and look at the bad side of things.

Let me name you some coaches that got blown out in BCS championship games:

Steve Spurrier
Bob Stoops
Bobby Bowden had a Heisman led offense that got shut out in one
Pete Carroll lost when he had the greatest team ever, he only had to stop one guy, and couldn't do it
Hell even Saban got blown out in a BCS game.

Never heard of a Miles fan that believes that. It is easy to criticize any human being. We all make mistakes. Miles fans just don't go chicken little with every little bit of adversity.

Great thread. Miles is the right coach for LSU and has done a fantastic job here. Sure there have been some hiccups here and there but no coach is immune to that. There are many posters on this site and LSU fans in general who don't know how to be happy. They are more than likely that way in all areas of their life. It is best to just ignore them and not waste your time with them. The fact that they are miserable is rewarding enough.

Are you just so daft that you can't see the forest for the trees? This sort of statement is, by far, one of the most ridiculous of all.

Just how many of those years did we have the elite program that we have now?

Just how many of those years did we play the schedule we played in 2011 or even close to it? AND, in spite of it, win every single game including the SEC championship?

I sure am glad the most humiliating loss we've sustained in the last 50 years was in a national championship game and not to a team in a lower division or some other team with a poor track record, but that's just me.

And, no, I wasn't happy about losing or the way we lost, but dayummm, we got to the game and we got there by knocking out some quality schools with one of the hardest schedules any team has had in an age, with our game times screwed with most of the season and beating some of those teams on their own home turf or, in the case of OR, away from home in a BIG setting with all eyes upon us just after our starting QB got grounded for a fight, among other things we endured before the season started and during the season. But, hey, that's not a big deal to you. It is to me.

And, P.S. you have 22 posts too many.

he is a sub par coach that recruits reasonably well in a fertile territory.
He should not be taken for granted as long as he
is LSU's head coach. Not be cause he is some sort of idiot savant.

If 7 years of having teams NR at #1, #2, #3, #5, #8, and #17, having 3 west titles, 2 SEC titles, 2 BCSCG appeararnces, and the most SEC wins, doesn't " instill confidence"....you never gonna have it. imo

Yeah, I have to wait a full decade before I can trust an LSU coach.

Wow that brought back a memory. I remember that game. Spurrier's Gators got clobbered that game and the Gators finished 12-1. It happens to the best of coaches..

People had decided we would be mediocre with Miles. I've seen so many names thrown around both times Michigan job was open. None of the coaches have come close to what miles has done at any school.

I trust in Les a hell of a lot more than I do in those people.

Some of them are still mad cause Miles made that thought process, "would be mediocre with Miles", look pretty silly.

I know one thing......If i were an upcoming coach or an established big name coach .....I would not come to LSU.

Short of going 14-0 every year their would be too much dissension and not enough loyalty from the fan base to help make the program a success.
