That would be API 570 for design of injection points in pipelines.
API 570
The Shell Norco 1988 explosion was due to accelerated corrosion of an overhead vapor line from the depropanizer. They knew about the pipe wall loss with UT (ultrasonic thickness) measurements but thought it would last until the next shutdown.
An injection quill modification caused the corrosion to get worse at a point where they did not UT. A relatively minor change even when done with Management of Change but unfortunately the damage mechanism was not recognized.

I don’t think they grasp how disruptive 105 db+ can be to their offense. :geauxtigers:
I'm being optimistic about it. No worse than Miles at the helm and a better offensive scheme. Something that Miles refused to change.
One team one heartbeat. :geauxtigers:

I ate there last week. I think they close at 10 pm on Saturday. What time did you go?

Check out Austin's in Metairie. Really good food at a reasonable price. I went through a similar list like you have 4 years ago and way too expensive. Austin's was about $50 - $55 / person for a pick of 3 - 4 options on a four course meal. House wine and drinks were included in the price. They have a private side room that can sit about 50 people. We had 45 in our party and the cost was less than $3,000 with tip. Steak was one of the entree selections along with a redfish dish for another entree option. Everyone loved the food.
10 gal of liquid N2 = (10) (93.11 cf/gal) = 931.1 scfm gas at standard conditions. Assuming the pressure drop through the vaporizer is minimal (it is designed for 56,000 SCFH) then to convert to ACFM using Boyle's Law:
P1 * V1 = P2 * V2
V2 = (P1 * V1) / P2 = {(14.7) * (931.1)} / (14.7 + 5000) = 2.73 ACFM @ 5,000 psi and ambient temperature.
P1 * V1 = P2 * V2
V2 = (P1 * V1) / P2 = {(14.7) * (931.1)} / (14.7 + 5000) = 2.73 ACFM @ 5,000 psi and ambient temperature.
N2 conversion
There will be some pressure drop through the vaporizer at different flowrates but depends on the sizing / design pressure drop of the vaporizer. Most of the units that I have worked with have the main gas pressure reducing valve and downstream PSV downstream of the vaporizer. The liquid will expand a lot when it is vaporized.
What exactly are you trying to figure out? Just call your N2 supplier vendor for help and the vaporizer design info. Number of tubes, length of tubes, and gas flowrate all go into the pressure drop calculation.

re: What was your pre-season W-L prediction?

10-2 or 9-3.
re: Season ticket holders
Posted by paulie on 11/25/15 at 6:50 pm to TruePurpleTiger
LSU graduate here and season ticket holder for 27 years. Jimbo or bust! If we can't get Jimbo then let Miles coach one more year but he has to make changes. This team could 'gel' next year with most being upperclassmen. This is his team afterall and this year we were predicted to go 8-3 or so anyway. Les has to make the right hires though which will be tricky but possible. Maybe not some bigger names but some up and comers for OC and ST. He needs to be more CEO like and willing to change the offense to create confusion for the opponent's defense.

I can see this happening. Keep Les one more year but with a new OC and special teams coach. It is going to be interesting for sure but a part of me says let's see what Les can do with next year's class of Juniors at the skill positions and a year more experience with our three freshman O linemen. Problem with this strategy is who are you going to get for just one year at OC?
Bama is going to lose another game along the way. They will not win the Natty nor will I be pulling for them.
Why not? They are just as curious as to what people are saying like the rest of us.

Yes it was only a foot or two off and LF had an open field with just a DB to beat.
Game of inches at times for sure.

No need for drastic changes to scheme. Just need the team to execute. How about learning how to complete a simple middle screen with good blocking or getting the ball with some touch to the talented tailbacks / TEs over the middle or in the slants behind the LBs?
Last night a lot of misses on short passes that could have made a big difference to slow down that rush.

re: Why does effin Alabama even worry us?

Bama like our Tigers, seem to play down to the level of their competition. It will be on tonight for both teams.
I like our chances for victory though and look forward to it. 7 pm can't get here soon enough :geauxtigers:

Vegas is just giving Bama the '4 in a row' respect with Saban's perceived dominance over LSU.
re: What trick plays may we see this weekend?
Posted by paulie on 11/3/15 at 9:20 pm to cajun5tiger
Hopefully no trick plays. No need to be cute like we tried in 2012 at home. Should have just played smashmouth football with J. Hill. I see a lot of #7 running this Saturday Night. Play to your strength for victory.

So Alabama has a loss and is ahead of 8 undefeated teams.....So if LSU happens to lose to this great team and their only loss is to Alabama, then they will most certainly be in the final 4 again next week, right?
If this scenario happens and LSU / Bama is another 9 - 6 nail biter then based on LSU having the toughest schedule in November we should get a mulligan like they did in 2011.
But we are going to win on Saturday so it won't matter :geauxtigers:
How is a one loss Bama team (loss at home too) ahead of the rest of the undefeated teams? If they win out I can see it but at this point in the season?? Makes no sense. Mulligan all over again.
re: LSU needs to come out aggressive throwing the ball
Posted by paulie on 11/2/15 at 12:42 pm to The Pirate King
We just have to go with the flow of the game run or pass so that we avoid 3rd and long situations where we obviously are in a passing situation. Run or pass to get to 3rd and 2 or 3 is where we need to be with the ability to convert 3rd downs.
