Man, get real.....these Tigers have played the whole season and whatever could go wrong did go wrong......and if that is what it takes....the big man on the mound with emotion and fire....I say, you go big guy....I'm loving it!!!

yep every game is potentially our last and our staff is what it is at this point.

Their season is literally over if they don’t bring that same intensity out every single trip to the mound rest of the way. We actually threw strikes tonight so it works

Yes we are LSU baseball. We are the greatest and best program in the sport. But this whole year it felt as though many of the players and coaching staff not only took it for granted but a lot of times rolled out there with that mentality and never worked to live up to the standard that has been set. Will never put it past my Tigers to survive and advance but maybe just maybe this small game and moments like that will show or bring out that pride in some of if not all the guys that return to next years team. It was not an embarrassing, sad, or pathetic season but it never felt like an LSU baseball team/year. Honestly no Smoke Laval team ever made me feel
like I did watching this team. Because atleast during that time you could tell Smokes teams understood the pressure and what they had to live up to. This was Sheerins first true year playing at LSU it seemed like he and the Tigers played up to the tradition for one game.

For the guys that stay and the new ones that come in. We don’t IMO act like Alabama football or Kentucky basketball as a fan base which is a good thing but you tune into SEC tournament play or the CWS, or the MLB. It’s littered with LSU/Baton Rouge affiliated connections. The standard is the standard it will not be lowered, the SEC will actually be better next year than it is this year. Would rather guys be over emotional and not care what others think than seem like they could care less and play with no emotion. I didn’t say to myself, “Act like you have been there,” I said it took all year to realize what the front of your jersey meant, how throughout the history of our program nothing mattered but winning and meeting THE STANDARD, not “a standard” or this teams individual/yearly goals.
