Both our #7’s and some of their best players in the country at their positions in weeks and green were out

Princewill left early

We’ve been hammered with the injury bug and that hasnt stopped anyone from not giving us any passes or excuses. Miss state was mostly healthy on defense and we carved them up. Thats an earned arse kicking

Did anyone put an asterisk after beating us with our starting QB being out last year?

And?

One was the captain of our defense. And our best pass rusher was knocked out of the game early. Those two guys impact the offensive and QB play of the other team.

If our loss is somehow diminished because their starting quarterback didn’t play, then Texas’s loss to Florida is doubly bad… somehow the pollsters won’t see it that way. Call it a hunch.

Some people will, some people won't. I wouldn't worry too much about what some randos on internet forums think. By the time the season is over, it won't even be a cliffnote.

Lane likes Lebby a lot, We would have won 45-20 if that QB played.

Stopping at 31 was generous

I don’t know what the argument is here… Taylor a more important player to his team and college football as a whole than Prince or Weeks…

Don’t forget Andling and Reilford would have been big pieces to this defensive as starters or #2’s and lost them before the season started. This defense healthy would have been elite.

Gotta love comparing a Walk-On QB in his 1st ever start, has never thrown a TD or scored a TD in his collegiate career, to LSU 2nd string LB with tons of experience.
Doesn’t get more delusional than that!

The pollsters literally have LSU as the highest ranked 2 loss team, ahead of several 1 loss teams. Some of of y’all are so desperate to be the victim it’s insane

We’ll be going on the road next week trying to get our first win on the road in the conference. We were 11th place in the SEC 1 day ago.

I was just as encouraged by the fact that Ole Miss and Kentucky won so maybe those losses don’t look as bad now, but those are still beatable teams. You have to be able to win close ones too and not just when you overmatch people. And that won’t be the case versus Tennessee, Texas and Alabama.

So we better catch fire quick and if this was the start of that that’s great because I thought Alabama looked pretty good before yesterday but after playing 2 good teams it’s a different story. With them and Texas losing again it does change the perception, but Tennessee made it look pretty damn tough to win in Knoxville. The bottom line is we could not afford a loss in October so we are way off schedule.

Simply that players were out who directly impact the flow of their offense on both sides of the ball.

Taylor a more important player to his team and college football as a whole than Prince or Weeks…

While that is true, and it is unlikely the score ends up 31-0 if he plays, it does not follow that LSU would lose or even that they would not dominate the game if all three of those players are available.

I also don't care if people put an asterisk on the performance

A win is what we needed and what we got.

But we get to use it as our issue w losing to Kentucky, right?

Dude, their starting qb was out on a team whos offense was top 6 in the country.

I dont aks for an asterisk, but qb is a pretty HUGE loss, compared to a TE

An asterisk does not change the win-loss columns. In the end that is all that is important.

If someone wants to put an asterisk next to this win, there should also be an asterisk next to our OM and Kentucky losses as those should have been wins.
