I am sure not going to miss saben flying in a helicopter to steal our best recruits. Saben loved stealing our guys even if he didn't play them.

First game I ever went to was the 1998 Bama game. I've hated them my whole life.

Absolutely not. If they were 0-8 going into the LSU game, I’d still be proud to dominate them.

It will still be a big game. It just won’t automatically be the biggest game on the schedule.

Not so sure about this. Even when we dominate them for a decade, it is automatically the biggest game on the schedule.

I'm not even from Louisiana (spent 11 years in NO & BR though) and I hated Bama my whole life. Hated them during the Bear years (especially when we sent him to retirement in the 20-10 game), and Saban just escalated it to another level if that was even possible. Buck Fama!

Yes it does. With Saban there, it felt more personal. Not it will be like any other sec big game.

THIS.

I think losing to our former coach who left us on Christmas Day always sucked worse than other losses but Bama was a hated rival long before that.

Hopefully the card gets flipped and we start to dominate them and win a championship also.

If this happens. The rivalry will stay as strong as ever.

No. It's a big SEC game that's bigger than one person.

I mean, it was a big game before that, but nothing like it was during Saban. That will likely fade, for sure.

The Auburn LSU game faded without Tuberville. Without Saban coaching, similar scenario

West. Now, it will be Bama and UGA until someone else emerges long enough to prove that they are worthy

Terrible. Bama was Saban. Now they have a west coast coach in over his head with a shite QB. UGA is the team to beat. I’m not saying they’re going to suck, but Bama is just another team now. Of all the teams we play this year Bama is probably 3rd or 4th that I’m concerned about.

You guys are just simping for the Bama brand. Last year was fool’s gold because they had no business being in the playoffs.

To me, yeah. Once LSU crushes Bama this year, it will be over for them. It'll be, at worst, trading wins and losses yearly, but at best, LSU beats them 3 out of every 4 years until they find another super elite coach. LSU had legit chances to beat Bama, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2021, and last year. I don’t see the GOAT coach on the sideline anymore, so those extremely close losses can easily turn to wins.

They also definitely aren't getting that type of talent or depth anytime soon either. Saban knew the writing was on the wall when he couldn't load up on the defense like he had been doing. You think Deboer will get top defensive recruits with all these other defensive minded/balanced coaches at schools with lots of money? Deboer isn't a big time recruiter either. Never has been.

You might want to pass along that information to the recruits. Right now, the Alabama recruiting class is one of the best in the country, and getting better every day. It's very likely they will have a top-three class, and their roster is already really good.
