Saban would be awesome, but it would have to be for a very short term deal where you let Saban right the ship and then recommend his successor.

He is old.. and I have zero doubt he would bring us back to the CFP, you have worry about him being able to give us 4-5 years of peak saban at his age.

Don’t want Kiffin. Abysmal in big games. Horrible defenses. Would want a bloated expensive contract.
I personally would be happy with Kiffin. Kelly/Orgeron doesn't impact the defense any more than Kiffin would. You just need a good defensive coordinator for a guy like Kiffin.
Also, any new coach we would bring in would get an expensive contract anyways.

frick no. That’s what people like him do. They make YouTube videos where they say cryptic shite so they can claim later that they knew something.

Of course it would they know Woody will overpay for little to no accountability or success required! Guaranteed retirement in role!
Who wouldn’t be interested in that!

Anyone would want to come here. The AD throws money around like a drunken sailor, you get paid regardless of what you produce and if you get fired, you get a big payout on the way out the door. Orgeron and Kelly are living proof.

Saban talk is silly and delusional. It has to be funny as hell for fans of other teams to read it.

For real. Why in the world would Saban retire from Bama only to take another job. That’s silly

You have a better chance of coaxing Ratphuc Hobley to give up his sweet gig in the Italian league.

Saban

I wanted that obnoxious prick gone when he was at LSU and predicted he would fail in the NFL.

I thought he would end up at Florida State when Bobby Bowden retired, pulled his pants up to his armpits, and started driving around Miami five miles per hour under the speed limit in the right lane with his left hand turn signal flashing. I never expected Saban to end up at Bama and when he did I never expected him to be as successful as he was.

As it now stands I would take him back. Bama erected a statue and named their field after him. It would be the ultimate troll for those inbred illiterate rednecks.

Absolutely would not happen but Saban as an interim would be hilarious.

I'm as big an LSU fan as everyone else here, but what would be even more hilarious is if Saban were an interim here and we lose to Bama

Every person mentioning Sabans name is what’s wrong with the LSU fanbase. It’s laughable and sad at the same time.

That being said Kiffin would come here so would ever top coaching candidate. Go get one. Waiting another year to lower his buyout by 10 million is stupid. LSU will lose more than $10 million with a half empty DV.

Am no fan of Pate but I think he is correct

Ole Miss could spend all the money in the world. At the end of the day the culture isn’t strong enough to have a real winner.

LSU has won with many different coaches. It’s the culture that breeds success. Put in a good coach and it’s a foregone conclusion.

Kiffin would be good here.

Is this not the exact sentiment that led to BK?

You think he coaches again? It's cool to think about but I dont think it's very likely.
