Does LSU turn Taylor into a Heisman candidate on Saturday?

Against any team that has any sort of life on offense, Baker has a knack for allowing them to go off on LSU. This Taylor kid is good but not great, however I am sure come Saturday he will have the best game of his career.

AND of course the excuse will be we don’t have the personnel, even though we pretty much have had a top 10 recruiting class every year. Coach the F’ing players up, you’ve got more talent than most!

Rumor is Taylor won’t play or will be extremely hobbled- Vegas line is evidence

Even if he doesn’t play, somehow he will manage to throw a TD against Bakers soft zone.

Did you know that Baker was number 2 in total defense before Saturday?

I get it. He deserves criticism, but you guys are going way overboard.

Right.

All these guys think its a foregone conclusion that Baker is gone after the season, but we likely finished with a top 20 defense

Those stats are skewed.

Clemson dead on offense
A$M dead on offense
McNeese doesn’t count
LaTech too big of a talent gap

The two teams that are decent and have an offense:
Ole Miss (with a potential Heisman) - 420+ yards of offense, 4 TD

UK (better than average QB) - 401 yards of offense, 3 TD (on offense)

Baker against a decent team is not good so far.

I think we beat the brakes off of Mississippi State no matter who starts for them on Saturday. Taylor is a good player, but I don't think State is as good a team as their ranking indicates.

Also, I think we're going to come out looking to make a statement after losing at Kentucky. This team had/has playoff aspirations and now they have no margin for error. They must run the table and I think they'll give it their best shot, starting Saturday night.

Lack of turnovers as well. When the qb is giving the ball at least twice a game, defense has to get more takeaways

Wasn’t LSU favored by double digits against Kentucky

A whole TD? You know McNeese got 2 of those.

Must hold emotion when refs consistently miss calls. Must run a 12 yard route when you need 10 yards. Too much finesse is not helping.

Sure, but saying he’s horrible is WAY too far. You can argue he’s not worth his money. But he’s not a bad DC. There’s been some bad calls. But people are going way overboard like he’s Matt House or something. Teams would die for Baker. The hate is going a little far.

Turf toe is extremely painful. If he played any other position he would definitely be out. But since he is a QB he could go he just would be extremely limited to the pocket. Will be curious to see how truthful that rumor is.

Vegas would not have thrown out such a line if something wasn’t wrong with the kid.

Vegas line for State vs Bama opened at 3.5 & closed at 5.5-6 points. Something is going on for the spread to be 11.5. State's back up QB is a RS Freshman.

Only underscores how soft his zone defense has actually been
