Your coworker is a moron.

The only position that struggled to develop after Jimbo left was the QB position. Hopefully Krags can be that guy for the QBs that we have lacked.

OL, WR, and QB is a question mark.

Actually only qb. We have several wr's and OL in the bigs. Bowe, Doucet, Randle, LaFell. Big Herm, Ciron (injury notwithstanding) guys like that developed fine.

Dude they're baiting you (both the UF and the LSU douche)

If you say "yes he develops talent" and give reasons, next week they come back and say "Miles can't recruit well, he just develops '3-stars' just enough to play"

They're trying to put you in a catch-22 argument. Good news is all you'll have to do after Saturday is say "scoreboard, bitch"

This is what I was getting at. And with the O line struggling this year, we won't really get a good taste of where Mett actually is.

Les didn't develop Jamarcus into 6'6 270 lbs. He didn't teach him how to throw a ball 80 yards.

Do you not remember how bad JaMarcus sucked his freshman and sophomore years? Yea he really looked like the #1 pick of the draft then..

The guy at the top has to get SOME credit! Coach Miles is in charge of a program that sends more than it's fair share to the NFL. Yes, it is a combination of Coach Moffit making guys physcially ready for the NFL, it is Coach Chavis and others teaching them techniques, and Coach Miles oversees all of that.

I for one appreciate the fact that we are 2nd only to Vanderbilt in SEC academics, that while no program is perfect he seems to run a clean and by the book program, that he treats people with dignity and respect, and oh by the way he wins lots of games on the field. Do I want to see certain aspects of our team improve (i.e. passing efficiency), sure, but guess what, so does he!

I know I will get slammed for this, and no I am not related to him. I just think we have alot to be proud of as Tiger fans!

I see your point but the same could be said for JL.

He should have been progressed much more.

Jamarcus had genetics in his favor.

Very rare do you see a QB or WR improve while at LSU.

This is absurd. So the JLee that threw 6 pick 6s is the same guy that left last year or the 3* JoJo Lafell who needed a redshirt to develope is the same guy playing in the NFL?

Which is why i said rare. It happens. JL was a true frosh throwing those pick 6. I dont care what level you play. The more you play and the more you see the game, the more you improve. Regardless of coaching. Its a natural progression. And i probably should of left WRs off the list, because we do have some good ones in the game. I was just thinking of RR the past few years and trying to see if i remember him improving much over his tenure here, and I dont think he really did. But then again part to blame was our passing game.

Im not the 1 saying we dont develop talent, because there is no doubt we do. And we develop talent as well as the other top programs out there. We develop each position just as good as they do, except QB. And we do have some good WRs out in the pros, but recently our WRs have been sub par.

if a guy gets All America/ All SEC accolades but doesn't make it in the NFL, was he not properly developed? I'm thinking Ciron, Herm, and Blackwell here.

Developing talent is the thing Miles is best at. If you compare our recruiting classes' rankings to UF's, you would think the success of each team was the opposite. Miles and Chavis bring in players perfect for the system and mold them into all sec, all American, and nfl caliber talent. See Matheiu, Tyrann.

Jamarcus made young player mistake particularly as a freshman, but I wouldn't say he sucked that yr overall and def not as a soph.

you can cherry-pick your facts and state this for any head coach including saban.

if my alma mater's head coach was will muschamp, i would avoid this debate like the plague.

With way we've run the ball over the last few years, I think it's difficult to say that we don't develop O linemen.

See SinCityTigers.com and read Tony on the Tigers. The answer is no for quarterbacks.
