Surely he cannot believe he will survive much longer than that

Does it matter when he has a contract through 2024?

He will be paid either way

It was mentioned a few weeks ago on another fan site by one of the site’s insiders that Manieri was OUT after this season. Of course, he’s been known to be wrong before.

I hope he’s right this time.

He will walk away and receive about half his buyout.

He needs to go...he has sucked the life out of alex box...
But we will be stuck with his horrible coaching for 3 more years...

There is some word from the in-the-know crowd that Mainieri is likely to retire. He's told people it's hard to get excited about the job the last couple of years since his father died, and that's starting to show big-time on the field.

The question is whether he changes his mind if they make a big run late in the season, something which looks less and less likely as the weeks go by.

My prediction is he retires a few days the last game of the 2021 season.

No. He’s a scumbag and he’ll continue to steal money from this university as long as we let him. To step down you have to have some dignity

Announce it now. Let him enjoy the retirement parade. Maybe that will inject some life into him.
