She wanted to be the star of the team. She isn’t the star at LSU.

Fulwiley took a lot of her minutes last year and honestly she wasn’t consistently great. She was streaky.

Have y'all seen the OM video where Coach Yo was having Richard and other players call OM fans begging them come to their games? Each player had a list with names and phone numbers. That was Coach Yo biggest beef since she has been at OM, no one was showing up for the home games, she was always complaining about that. Avg OM attendance 2-3K vs LSU 10-12K.

Geez can you imagine going from signing autographs outside the PMAC every game to having to call fans to get them to come to the games

He considers Richard a better scorer. He considers Williams a better passer with better vision to help the offense flow.

With Mikayla Williams, Fulwiley , and Z Johnson we need a good passer. Isn’t that the role of a point guard?

That is the damned shame of all of it that these kids don't realize. The instant gratification of all that money is nice, but when she suits up for the first time for a home game at Ole Miss and there are 700 people there instead of 10,000, I bet it hits her a little.

And Kim was good with rolling with Richard as her point guard this season. Kim wasn't out shopping for a new PG. She had been grooming her for 2 years and Jada kept getting better.

But in true Kim fashion, she had Richard's replacement inked within about 72 hours and from all I have heard, they think Williams is going to be the better player for them.

Williams is much quicker and much better on defense, and I remember seeing that Willaims scored 44 in one game.

Generally, yes. I mean, you can have PGs who are scoring threats as much or more than offensive facilitators, like a Steph Curry or Chris Jackson. And that additional dimension can stress defenses. But based on the makeup of the current LSU WBB team, if Williams can be more of a John Stockton PG, it might* work out for the better.

Richard is a better shooter than Williams.

But I don’t think she’s a better scorer. Williams avgd more on teams that scored less. Williams has better handles she protects the ball better she’s a better passer and she’s significantly better on ball defender. On top of that she seems focused which I hate to say seemed to be an issue with Richard. Richard does have a higher 3pt fg and ft %s. But she’s averaged less ppg and more significantly she averaged less than half of the apg than Williams.

I hated losing Richard too. But I am confident we got better not worse.

I mean in significant points of games last year we had Mikaylah bringing the ball up and starting the offense instead of our starting PG. tells you all u need to know about how much Kim trusted her.

From watching a few exhibition games seems like Jada Williams is quicker and better on defense than Jada Richard was.. not knocking Jada Richard though.. Williams did show potential shooting the ball in last nights exhibition game against Loyola especially on the few shots she took.. both Williams & Richard are good …
