I personally think it was a very smart scheduling move. It should be a win and it’s not a total cupcake like southern. Should be a good chance to work on things we need to fix against a decent opponent while also possibly getting some rest in between a tough SEC slate . Thoughts?

I like it a LOT. Kind of like an extra open date, not that we need an extra week to prep for Aggy....

I don’t hate it. Would’ve been even better if it immediately followed Bama, then set up a Arkansas/A&M finish.

LSU's already played their entire SEC schedule except for Texas A&M, so I think we did pretty well with our SEC slate (except for Tennessee) before UAB. Perhaps the Tigers can use this opportunity to prepare for Texas A&M to...how do I put this..."piss in their cornflakes."

From a fan perspective I'd like to see meaningful games. From a team perspective it helps to have a breather at this point.

yeah I always hated playing Arkansas after Bama. Guess it’s just the lingering PTSD from 2014 going to Arkansas and getting shut out. Always felt like we went all in for Bama and were flat the next week.

Meshes with aTm's UMass cupcake. aTm was supposed to be #2 on our schedule behind Bama. Just as Bama schedules a bye year in and year out prior to the LSU game.....

It's the second-to-last game of the season and the Tigers have all but cleaned their SEC slate. Perhaps they can get some reps and rest before they... (How shall I put it?)... piss in the Aggies' cornflakes.

Well if the Aggies were actually as good as they were supposed to be it would’ve worked out even better.

I believe CBK when he says UAB will be a challenge. Their stats are similar but a little better than ours. Against lesser opponents but not a cupcake.

It comes at the perfect time. Especially if a bunch of guys were sick. They're coming off the emotional Alabama win and the high of winning the West. It's the perfect time to recalibrate and get ready for Texas A&M and the SECCG.

I like it. We (the fans, not the players) can relax a little bit because the gauntlet of the schedule is over.

From the team’s perspective it comes at a good time. From a fan’s perspective I hate it. I want to see teams playing meaningful conference games in November, not mid-major “buy” games

I agree with this in having the out of conference game after Bama and before Arkansas.

Maybe an easy game will let our QB remember how to throw the ball downfield to talented receivers who will catch ball in coverage.

I like it and other teams do it too. Take for example UMass. They scheduled TAMU as kind of a warm up game before they play Army in their finale.

When we go to 9 SEC games, this late weekend respite will disappear.
