The good news is, it can’t get any worse.

I don't think the OC or head coach will make a difference as long as Saban is coaching and getting basically every recruit he wants.

No one shall beat him with any kind of consistency.

I don’t believe we’ll beat Bama with O as head coach.

need data.

First question to get data:
What's our average pts scored with E as OC vs. Bama?

0 you say?

enough data gathered.

I don't know if it'll happen or not, but the odds are better going forward than they were before 2016.

Ummm how is being shut out at home twice better odds than other OCs who actually scored against Bama?

Lets start with getting a point and see how it goes.

Idk if you guys are aware but there is a downward trend going on in Tuscaloosa. Their home game atmosphere's have become a complete joke compared to other teams in this league.. Will they really be locking down all these recruits as that trend continues? Also, games they play in are boring and best players will be sitting most of the second half. It's going to be a hard sell eventually.

no, the scheme is too basic and predictable

Can we score a point first?

Steve took some steps forward in 2018 vs. 2016

in 2016 we only had 125 total offensive yards, 2018 196. So I'm thinking in his third attempt he's got a shot to break that 200 yard barrier.

I miss Cam Cameron compared to E. Greatly miss Canada as well.

I'd rather E than stud though.

E is in over his head and other coaches have said so. He doesn't know how to adjust or make adjustments in scheme.

I don't believe LSU will beat Bama with any OC that refuses to adapt to a different offensive game plan vs. Bama.

I also have serious doubts that LSU will beat them as long as Saban's their coach.

We won't beat Bama with a mediocre OLine and a QB who is no threat out of the pocket.....the O coordinator is irrelevant...

What a defeatist attitude. Well, they're tough to beat. May as well not even try. 9-3, 10-2 is still good.

Hugh Freeze beat Saban in 2014 and 2015 (43 points scored) and narrowly lost to Bama 48-43 in 2016 (despite being a double-digit underdog). On the other hand, LSU hasn't managed to score 20 points vs. Bama in the past 9 games. With it's current OC yet to score even a single point in 8 quarters vs. Saban.

Only scenario is a 0-0 tie and into OT we win on a FG.

Not trying to take the defeatist route. I hope and think that we can beat them as we are one of the few teams that actually has the talent to match up on some levels, I just think it is highly unlikely. Your comments make the arguments for me.

If everyone thought that Hugh Freeze was the answer to beating Saban, he would have a job in the SEC right now instead of coaching the fricking Arizona Hotshots.

I truly hope that a new OC would make the difference, I just do not know who that OC is.

Coach O's strategy is not to beat Bama, but to have 9-10 game wins a year. He can keep his job with that kind of success. And if SE's offense contributes to that kind of won-loss record, then that's what we will get.
