Give me Durkin. I believe in Baker and believe in hid system but when your defense struggles as bad as we did with Weeks out against everyone without weeks still has me skeptical on Baker as being elite. Just saying

Hope he stays but I’d say it’s a 70-80 percent chance he’s gone. It’s worked out tremendously to be the last two coaches at Tulane and he’s an alum. If offered I don’t see how he could turn it down. I hope great things for Baker either way.

I personally think he should turn it down. A bigger job will come open at a power five again in a year or few years. Can't just take a job because it's a job. Has to be the right job.

He’s a Tulane Alumni and they have spent more time being ranked the last 6 years than LSU has… their last 2 head coaches got P4 jobs.

It’s arguably the most ideal situation for him to get a legit HC job that could make him a candidate for any job in the country if he succeeds, and Tulane is clearly set up for success as a G5 school.

Brian Kelly will lead Tulane to a 9-3 record every year and not make the playoff. Green Wave needs to pull da trigger.

1. Tulane has been a stepping stone job (and launch pad) for coaches who are successful there, going back to Mack Brown in the late 1970s early 1980s. (Brown, Bowden, Rich Rod, Fritz & Sumrall to name a few).

2. Coordinators get very few opportunities to land top end conference jobs like Kirby Smart and Dan Lanning. Most will end up at places in the power 4 conferences where it is very hard to win, if they are even given the opportunity. These opportunities quite often derail a lot of promising up and comers careers.

Sadly I think he goes and I understand. I am 100% certain CLK has some candidates in mind. He has been around a while and knows who he wants to bring in is my guess.

Kelly will be a very long way from The South
Lane must have already made it clear to Blake he has no plan for him.

Does Kiffin call up Saban and get his input on who he thinks would be a good fit as D Cood at LSU?

I think Kiffin will find another stellar DC though
I would think finding a dc would be easy for an offensive guru like lane Kiffin. Just go and grab a guy with a scheme that’d he’d least like to face.

He just can’t afford to hire a twat waffle like Matt House,

I'm confident that LK will make changes when needed. If he does make a disastrous hire and needs to fix it mid-season I think he will. But maybe that's wishcasting
