LINK

He named his version of the top 5 CFB players of his lifetime and he named three recent SEC QBs and a former LSU Tiger...but not the SEC single season record holder for yards, TDs, and completion percentage who just led his former team to a title.

EDIT: I dont dislike DJ at all and I personally dont take this that seriously. But it is interesting that he Burrow off especially since Burrow's record breaking season was only a few months ago.

So a former player gives HIS opinion on HIS Top players of all time and he is disrespecting Joe Burrow? Damn I bet JB won't sleep tonight. The world will go on.

I get people not wanting to be prisoners of the moment. Burrow’s mythical season will only grow as time goes on.

Look at Manziel. He beat Bama one time and he won the Heisman but I don’t think anyone thought he was an all time great at the time. As the seasons have passed that one game or even that one play he made has grown into some sort of mythical and miraculous play but it actually had zero bearing on the season. Bama still ended up winning the national championship that year.

As if

I can make an argument for Cam Newton. The SEC West was much harder in 2010 than it was in 2019

Auburn had considerably less talent to work with around Newton compared to Burrow.

And Newton did it in his first season

If you think that it’s some slam dunk answer that Burrow is the greatest QB in college football history, then you didn’t watch Vince Young or Cam Newton play

I watched both.
Both players were incredible college players.

Bitch please, quit acting like you have this full understanding of Auburn’s talent 10 years ago

Outside of usc Texas game how often did you watch VYoung play?

My money is on Joe.

He was still dominant in that 2005 season.

What does DJ Charks ability to play football or the fact that he is an LSU tiger have anything to do with his ability to be a fricking dumbass and have a terrible opinion.

I don't see the disrespect? Did he say Joe was overrated? did he say Joe sucked or something?

So Chark has

Mathieu
Reggie Bush
Johnny Football
Cam Newton
Tim Tebow

Stop acting like he chose random arse dudes. Tim Tebow holds a ton of records and had over 13,000 career yards and 145 touchdowns as a three-year starter, Bush had 4500 scrimmage yards and 38 touchdowns to go with 2000 return yards and four return touchdowns, and Cam had arguably the most dominant college season of anyone in football history.

You can maybe point at Manziel, but still he had a fantastic college career. He’s the first freshman to win the Heisman and had 7,820 passing yards and 63 passing touchdowns to go with 2,169 rushing yards and 30 touchdowns. He did all that in two years.

Just because you disagree with Chark doesn’t mean he disrespected anyone. There’s a sound argument for every single player on that list ahead of Burrow, and also a sound argument to be made for Burrow being ahead of them as well. You just look stupid right now.

This was DJ's response on Twitter when someone called him out on Joe not being included:

I think Joe definitely had one of the most historic campaigns.. I left him out because his supporting cast was ridiculous as well.. Tebow cast was great too but he impacted the entire world of sports

And FYI, I still don't agree with him. It's his opinion tho.

I know what you mean here as in Joe was in his second season. But in JB's defense, he didn't have the offensive coordinators that Newton had his year at Auburn. If Burrow had Brady his first year with LSU, there is no telling what he could have done.

Say what you want about Malzahn as a head coach, but that offense they had was custom built for Newton, and he was made for that. Just like Burrow was made for Brady.
