But Cam looked like a man playing against high school kids when he stepped on the field.
I’ve rewatched the biggest games from last season and Burrow looked like a man amongst boys making throws that Cam has never been able to make. Plus Cam is ghey.

Same can be said for Cam when it comes to running. The only difference is that Cam improved his ability to throw once he got to the NFL.
This is not to shite on Burrow. I think Burrow has the greatest single season in CFB history. He was an assassin with an unmatched attitude and work ethic. But Cam was the greatest single player I have ever seen.

He's not. But even if he is, who cares?

With that being said putting Manziel over Burrow is hilarious. Joe could do everything manziel could do but at a much higher level.
Burrow had the best season I have ever seen a QB have. He did have the one average year as a starter last year though. Everybody Chark listed had only excellent years as full-time starters (or in Cam's case an excellent year).
Manziel was a phenomenal player. LSU was the only team that stopped him (we had a little assist with the bad weather both times we played him), but still, LSU stopped him. He led aTm to a top 5 finish and their highest final ranking in like 56 years in their first year playing in the SEC. They were close to being undefeated with their two losses being by a combined 8 points. Dude torched Bama at Bama and led them to 20 points in the 1st quarter. By comparison, up until this last season, LSU hadn't scored 20 points against Bama in an ENTIRE GAME in 9 years. He averaged 7 ypc, had 1400 yards rushing and 21 rushing TDs as a freshman too.
He put up crazy numbers in his sophomore year too and was a Heisman finalist again. He blew his NFL career, but he was one of the best college players.

He picked players that proceeded his tenure... Nothing to see here.

I agree with PhillyFan. Chark put (3) former SEC QB's on the list and no mention of the best statistical QB in the history of college football. Either Chark has something against Burrow or his is retarded.

He picked people he watched growing up playing.
Burrow played after he left and while he was concentrating on pro ball.
Not a slight

I don’t think you can look at LSU in 2019 and say that team had more talent than Auburn when Cam Newton was there. Based on pre-season expectation of LSU last year LSU wasn’t expected to do what they did; not anywhere close. LSU’s OL wasn’t predicted to be what they became. LSU’s WR productivity and depth wasn’t anticipated by anyone outside of the LSU family.
LSU coaches should get a ton of credit for “developing” players in 2019. 2019 LSU was made into the team it became. That team was created and developed. As far as “talent” compared to Auburn I’d bet Auburn was every bit as talented out of high school; if not more so. LSU may have done a better job of developing players but that’s a different metric than comparing shear talent. The numbers 2019 LSU put up were truly staggering. I give much of the credit to coaching and the Lion’s share to Joe Burrow. Barring injury, I think Joe Burrow will prove to be a better QB in the NFL than Cam Newton.

I'm taking joe over anyone on that list. His surrounded by great talent line us bogus. All those players were surrounded by great talent.
Nope. Burrow and Tebow had great talent around them. Cam did not.

I think this is bananas crazy and if you're anything other than unwilling to change your opinion you'll go look at those rosters and your tune will change immediately. Cam had nobody around him other than a pretty good runningback in Michael Dyer. Cam's line wasn't even that good. And as much praise as the defense got, they were also a one man show with Fairley.
I know this is a test for time, but LSU's entire 2019 team is full of guys that will get drafted and have LONG NFL careers. From Auburn's 2010 team, 4 guys got drafted. 4. And it wasn't because they were a powerhouse squad full of talented underclassmen. They went 8-5 and 4-4 in the SEC in 2011.

Lmaoo it’s a just a list of his opinions of players he seen growing up no need to get butthurt about it you fans are something else. It was no disrespect to burrow.

VY is laughable he's so dumb. Neither come close to Burrow on accuracy or brains so it is a slam dunk and yeah, I watched them play a lot. Neither also worked nearly as hard as Burrow and that's what separates Burrows and MJs and Tom Brady and Kobe: hard hard workers.
This is one of the most ridiculous statements I’ve seen on tigerdroppings. My guy already has Burrow on the Mount Rushmore of all time greats in sports history.

Because we don't want this place turning into reddit.
I am very thankful that statements like that, shortsighted as they may be, are allowed here.

3 Qbs that were incapable of throwing a football.
Seriously, if a wideout like him is looking for a QB who can consistently get the ball to them in the right place, those three wouldn't be at the top of any list.

That's not what the poll was though. He named great players. Every one of those players was great (as was Burrow obviously). Manziel completed 68% of his passes as a freshman and virtually 70% as a sophomore. And they weren't screen passes either because he threw for a ton of yards. For the guy to say he couldn't throw the football, that wasn't the case at all. The whole Johnny Football lifestyle derailed his career.

Wonder if he played last year, would he say different?

You guys who are calling Chark names are weirdos

Manziel was so fun to watch. He and Evans were the whole A&M offense. I loved Johnny Football
