If you didn't think losing to Ole Miss in Oxford was a possibility, you weren't thinking clearly. Kentucky was not one I expected. It is certainly disappointing. We could have won both of those games.

First year blues dom. I still believe in CLK but most people were banking on winning out in October to set yourself up for November. We have a long way to go

Ole Miss was always a possibility. After Kentucky’s emotional win last weekend I suspected we were in for a fight and wasn’t going to be shocked with a loss. Hated the way that it happened, but I wasn’t shocked.

We have a decent team, and if everyone is healthy and things are clicking, I think we have a chance to beat anyone. However, the way things are right now, we’re probably a middle of the pack SEC team.

Anyone that didn’t think we could possibly lose to ole miss is retarded.

Lane spent 6 years building that and they have a super senior qb plus all the hype and we were in awful condition when Lane took over.

The portal is great helps plug holes but you can’t use it to fill out an entire roster like we were forced to and before some screams cig did it in a similar situation, he brought an arse load of his old team up with him and had a favorable schedule and got pantsed year 1 in the playoff. So even cig needed 2 years to put in his system fully.

Saban took 3 years at bama

I agree

The problem is most here don’t think that’s acceptable in Lane’s first year

I did. I had us splitting Ole Miss/A @ M, Getting upset by either Kentucky or Auburn, and splitting Texas / Bama.

That would put us 9 - 3. But, I've added a loss to Tennessee after the injuries and just dumb plays our players make. So, 8 - 4 is about the best we can do this year.

I still trust Kiffin, but this is not the year. Not with the 5 away SEC games.

Next year, I guess we will have 4 away SEC games and maybe Baker will get a coaching job at Nicholls or Southeastern so we can get a real DC that doesn't play to lose and knows how to teach the players.

We are only 12 months post Kelly and still finding empty wine bottles in the LSU Football Operations building.

Yep, I've always put Ky in the win column before the season starts.

Blake Baker is a detriment to this program. Simple as that. We will not win anything of significance as long as he is a part of this program.

I'm with you, Nitro, just a little disappointed. I came into the season expecting up-and-down performances. The first few games and even the loss to Ole Miss looked like they were a bit further along than I expected, with flaws that might be fixable. I still think that, but I'm not as optimistic because any margin for error has evaporated, and many of the flaws do not seem to be improving.

Still gonna be full-bore pulling for them, though.

We were always going to lose to OM. But I expected 5-1.

We wouldn’t even make a 24 team playoff.
