He did get OM to the playoffs. BK didn't take LSU to the playoffs.

I've always hated Kiffin because of his dealings at UT and USC and how much of a ding dong he was. At Bama, i didn't like him but he was good, but I could tell something was changing about him. At OM, I definitely started to not dislike him and saw a big change in his attitude and could tell he really took a lot from Saban, even down to the way he interviews.
He is a different guy in so many ways than he was in years past.
If LSU would've gone after him while he was at UT, I've would've been 100% against. CLK has changed into a better person and coach IMO since he started at Bama.

No doubt he is good at his job. What rubs ppl the wrong way is how he acts like he is smarter than everyone else and brags about stuff after the fact. He definitely thinks a lot of himself.

Besides the few access tidbits you get from him he provides nothing but spin and bad takes. I get that he’s moved up by puckering up but there’s zero insight to be gained from MM.

Week to week he only talks about stats, pff grades, injuries/personnel info, recap drives.
In a nutshell, he's much more of a reporter more than a game analyst.
He's not gonna talk about schemes, matchups, potential gameplans, opposing team's weaknesses vs LSU strengths, film, etc... your real "Ball Knower" stuff.

What? He talks about all of this stuff. And nothing you mentioned is "Ball Knower" stuff, its football 101. Show me one person breaking down games to the level detail of what lineman is playing a 4-tech covering the B-gap. It doesn't exist. That's "Ball Knower" stuff.

There are very few big name coaches that this board won’t criticize or say is overrated. If you want some examples, go look at last offseason when people would post a “top 10 coaches” list and BK wasn’t in the top 5. This board lost its mind.

I always laugh at these threads bashing our radio hosts. It just shows y'all haven't traveled or lived other places. When someone talks for 3-4 hours a day, there will always be quotes to complain about. Baton Rouge has better sports radio hosts (including Matt) than 99% of other major cities. We are spoiled with our LSU radio hosts.

I am thoroughly convinced Mascona was paid off by BK or LSU. He never truly criticized him. If you remember, Mascona would roast Coach O towards the end of his time. He never did that with BK.
