Did LSU’s secondary step up, or did Daniels take a step back?

This note was listed at the bottom of LSU’s scrimmage report. LSU practice/scrimmage notes:
Jayden Daniels 6/11 57 yards 1 TD

TTT - I have been accused of being an LSU arse kisser, but that all depends on how pretty that arse is.

9.5 yards per completion isn’t bad. Only 11 pass attempts makes his stats look worse than what they are, imo.

I think he had 2 or 3 drops. You can’t take scrimmage numbers without context. Nuss had over 100 yards passing, but 75 of those were a screen to Jackson. Numbers without context are meaningless.

TTT- you just lost any credibility that you had with me . Not that you care but I doubt that I’m the only one. What you said doesn’t even make sense

If he had any to begin with, then that’s on you.

If he ever had credibility with you, then you are as much of a dumbass as him.

This can be said for 99% of his post.

JD ain’t making the jump people are predicting.

He’s a 5th year guy…. We’ve seen his ceiling.

It’s a similar stat that Daniels had too many times last year. Which doesn’t make sense.

Why do you think it has to mean either?

Thomas had two drops, not Taylor. No wonder your posts are so bad, you struggle to read.

we have no idea what they were running or working on

how about let's wait until the season starts

THEN we can see if he has improved with:

intermediate completion %
pocket ptresence/taking way too many sacks
not throwing receivers open
YPA

lets give him a shot first

most guys have hit their ceiling by now as a 5th year senior but with a better line and more time with these players and coaches he might surprise us. lets hope so.

They covered the short passes well. He had people open down the middle and deep. He had 1-2 drops. 1 for sure. His legs make a huge difference on blitzs/pressure. He picked up major yardage at least 4 times when 80-90% of QBs take a sack or make a pressure throw. It’s a trade off. He won’t throw more than 3 INTs this year and my guess is 1-2 of those are tipped balls as opposed to a forced throw.

Yea because players just stop developing at the age of 22…
