Did Jay answer questions after the game?

Have not seen anything posted yet. Interested to hear his thinking on why he pushed anderson to 135 pitches in early April.

Well, he did say that Anderson was conditioned for it and he was working quickly and efficiently as the game went on. He also mentioned he was getting stronger as he pitched. That’s what I read.

He's young, he was in the zone, we saved arms for the next 2 games vs a very good SEC team, he gets 8 days of rest, and it's a morale boost for the team and the player. People really need to get past this.

he gets 8 days of rest,
Should be an interesting potential matchup with Anderson vs Dutton

Anderson was on a roll. There's no indication he was 'pushed' to keep going. He looked damn happy with himself at the end.

I cannot believe Sammy Dutton is their friday night guy.
he’s also starting to turn into a pumpkin

Also, if Jay has stats on him getting stronger and now has film of him going 110 plus pitches, mlb scouts will be foaming at the mouth.

He will say Kade was feeling good. Will get an extra day of rest. Was throwing a lot of strikes.
What I’m curious to see if he will admit that he was a bit desperate to save his two main bullpen guys.

His answer was something along the lines of, he wanted to push Anderson to ensure that he upset all of the pussies who think they know more baseball than him.

This pitch count thing is blown way out of proportion.

Just as a matter of clarification, what was the correct maximum number of pitches for him in early April and when should he have been pulled?

"Great win tonight. Amazing performance by Kade. I do have to admit though, before we go any further, I was desperate to save my top two bullpen arms in this game."

It’s a legit question, because you just don’t see it very often. I would imagine his thinking was he was just having all low stress innings and still felt really good. Not all pitch counts are created equal. Nothing wrong with asking the question though, especially on a forum. That’s the point of this place, isn’t it.
