And I'll be honest: This year I think Les is making a HUGE mistake at the QB position, but I am still embarrassed by the national perception of LSU fans. We want to fire a coach that wins 8,9, or 10 games a year in the hardest conference in the nation. It really is embarrassing trying to defend that opinion so I just rarely try to.

My only concern is Les' stubbornness on the QB issue.

I hope not, considering Les is 7-1 and Phillips is 1-6, you dumbass.

Les has been to the post season EVERY year and is 4-1 (and will go again this year)

He is, he's had one of, if not the deepest rosters in the NFL since he got there and couldn't win a play-off game until he went one and out last year before charging head on into his big .142 winning percentage this year.

On the "hot" seat and his job in question since he got to Dallas.

Oddly, Jerry Jones has been more patient and encouraging with Wade than LSU fans have with Miles, that should say something to you.

Lots of parallels there.

Just idiotic fans; that and the states the two teams are located in are bordered by the red river, I can't think of anything else.

That's because Jerry Jones is professional and logically thinks out his decisions. He is a business man with a lot of money riding on his every decision.

LSU fans on a message board are some of the dumbest "coaches" that know everything I have ever seen. I guess it's like that on every message board though. I just don't think I've seen a fan base persecute a winning coach as much as LSU fans are doing to Les Miles except maybe the Nebraska fans that wanted a 9 win coach fired. They learned that a name such as "Nebraska" doesn't make the quality coaches come running when they know winning anything less than a championship every year will get you fired. LSU fans need to learn from history.

Better question: Is Jerry Jones or an agent talking to Nick Saban about 2011?

negative. Saban couldn't work for Jerry Jones. on the other hand, Les Miles would be a coach Jones would be after....a "yes man" type who doesn't want complete control.

So, do you think Nebraska fans regret that move right now?

Yes, Nebraska's storied tradition got hammered, their 'black shirts' became a joke and although they are much happier with Pelini than Callahan he is not yet back to the Solich threshold and will likely never again see the type of years that Osborne 'spoiled' them with.

We became spoiled after Saban gave us one great year in a row.

At least Osborne gave them three out of four.

AND do you really want LSU to flat out suck for five years or so just to get back to where we are right now?

Answer the question, would they rather have Solich over Pelini right now?

Well, hell yeah, I'd take Saban back in a heartbeat, but if you told me we're going to be terrible for the next four years before we get him back I'm not so sure I'd be down with that.

Nebraska's program took a huge step back when they fired Solich. Everyone knows that, and they still have not fully recovered, and may never fully recover to where their program stood in college football's "pecking order" before.

Wade winning almost 80% of his games, 16-4 in his last 20 regular season games, and with a Super Bowl championship???

I'd pay Saban $8M/year to come back. Les should pay Saban a couple of his $M/yr because it is Saban's teaching the young players on our team that led to the 2007 championship, regardless of the fact that we have a FB illiterate coaching the team. That team ALREADY knew how to play FB and Miles had not yet figured out how to screw them up!

Right, a coach who took another job in 12/04 is responsible for what his old team did in 1/08.

That screams out "illiterate" thought process to me, but each to our own.

College vs NFL
..no comparison.

besides, would it help if JJ fired him now ?
or bad mouthed him now ??

only an idiot would do that..and JJ, for all he might be, is no idiot.

the criticism of Miles is coming from the bottom, the top is quiet, as JJ is.
