When I was in school … Curly era .. Bech, Mixon, others ….
It was common after a loss to be out at Sports hammered … Mixon on horseback, Darrel Williams, Bech .. drunk, chasing skirts.
Never felt sorry for that group and wasn’t a fan. If I lost a high school game, I was inside for the night, ball in hand, mind going through scenarios of how it could have been different. How are D-1 guys out drunk game night.
I specifically recall a game at Ole Miss .. in Jackson … probably the last time ever … Piss destroys us, we drove home …. and THAT NIGHT players out hammered at Sports…. Eff off guys.

Football players going out on Thursdays is nothing new.

I’ve literally had some players beat me to Sports after a game back in the day. Faneca and Savoie being two of them

Going to college bars with other students is fairly normal.
Hanging out at Lauberge doesn’t seem like the typical student Thursday night which is another reason why students and former students of schools are started to lose a sense of a shared experience or connection to current college football teams (bigger money team’s & leagues).
After a few years sharing revenue is going to completely break whats left of that connection for college football.

That would explain the suspensions.

I’m at Lauberge every Thursday night and haven’t seen one player
I saw Saivion Jones there during the offseason, however.

I always remember gambling at the belle with some buddies after fantasy draft and seeing Jordon Jefferson there 2 days after his arrest for the “incident” right before the 2011 season.

I believe the Center and #8 put some $$ down on Bama last week.

I don’t see any issue as long as they leave by a reasonable time. It’s not like it’s the night before the game. I would maybe have a small issue if it was Nuss with the way he’s been playing, he should maybe be watching more film.

Because they have money, they could care less. The fire is absolutely gone and it’s noticeable. I couldn’t imagine being that age with even 60k. I thought I was balling when I had like 500 bucks in college.

The teams he played for were at local bars all the time, This isn't new, it's almost like they were acting like college kids. Hell, Perriloux got in trouble for trying to use his brother's ID to get into a casino.
I'm more concerned about the product on the field than if players are going out.
