What Dick doesn’t understand is that Wade and his lawyer already threatened to bring the whole house of cards down and the NCAA backed off.

the good news is the AD actually knows what he is doing.

I like Woodward. I think he was a good hire. Time will tell if my previous statement is correct. How are you so certain the "he knows what he is doing?"

Don't you have to have evidence that recruits were paid? Those tapes contain no evidence any recruit was paid by LSU or some LSU-related person.

Desert king, I agree with you. From my understanding, miller and Wade have the same attorney, and they both have weathered this storm. I gotta believe this lawyer has proof on the biggies-possibly a wire being worn around and recording certain prominent coaches? This wire could have been worn by aau coaches or possibly recruits. I have personally witnessed calipari hugging one of these lowlife, illiterate aau coaches in person. To be a fly on the wall for some of their personal conversations? Imagine how in demand you would be as a lawyer if you could prove that and the ncaa knows it?

There is still a standard of proof required which you don’t seem to understand

Yes, there is....a "standard" defined by the NCAA and NOT a court of law. you guys need to stop conflating the NCAA with a court of law. Although they may seem to have some similarities, they are actually very different.

And this is something to be proud of? Sounds like Dale Brown and the stuff in Norm Sloan's book.

Think about this. What if WW felt he needed to clear his conscience about his wrongdoing and decided to confess what he has done to the LSU compliance office. His confession alone would be enough for the LSU/NCAA to act on. Well, we have that confession. It was on HBO the other night.

We have a confession that says “I paid money to a player”?

You’re an ignorant bastard.

Saying to your pal “I could kill Joe!” is not the same as killing Joe

This guy should have been made an example of and shunned for the shenanigans he pulled for the Matthieu cover story years ago, but none of his media buddies held him accountable because they are all sleezy in their own way. It's hilarious seeing these media people act like they are holier than thou when they participate in their own backdoor shady deals.

Refresher on the Matthieu story

Not anymore. There is a 3rd party appeal process.

To clarify, for people who think the NCAA gets to be judge jury and executioner still, NCAA infractions are apparently handled by an independent, third party process. The Wiseman case will likely be the first decided by this independent panel. There is no appeal from the panel, but it is independent of the NCAA (to some extent).

No money trail equals no enforceable infraction. The NCAA probably know that Wade would have committed this infraction but done have the evidence to prove it. Conversation alone without a money trail equals to no action. If the NCAA wanted to do something , LSU would have already been sanctioned. You better believe that the tape was played to the NCAA prior to the release of the documentary. All, I can say is Will “ Mother frickin” Wade, the original gangster. Like John Gotti, he’s untouchable in this situation. The NCAA can’t do shite and the new AD is aware of it.
